He's a warm body and we needed a warm body. 7th rounders are lottery tickets anyway, file this under "M" for Mehhhh.
why not simply just poach a player from the PS? only thing I can think of is they were super convinced and sold a bill of goods by someone at the Texans that this kid just needs a chance a change of scenery. HEY...who knows, maybe I am wrong and he turns into a nice role player. If he can stop the run I am on board.

Player acquisition is a 365 day a year proposition. The group I lead is unyielding in turning over every rock to improve the talent on this team.

Oh, and you're welcome.

Who knows, maybe they tried to sign him but Houston convinced him to sign there. Maybe he has upside they like, I'm just not worried about a 7th round pick (which is probably conditional anyway).

Dallas still has 9 picks next year even losing this 7th.

Meh. Team traded a ham sandwich with no cheese for depth.
Worse than that. We traded a draft pick that could have the potential (not super good odds) to at least be a contributor to a rotation for a guy who we could’ve gotten for free and has already proven over 4 years that he can’t make an NFL roster. Not a huge deal, but an unforced error nonetheless.

these unforced errors add up over time and hurt the foundation of your franchise. This has been a problem here.

I literally have a 6'4" 305 NFL DT , fresh off his rehab, staying in my guest room. I wish the Cowboys (or anyone) would sign him. He's killing my electricity and water bills. Plus, I'm pretty sure he's eating all my leftovers.
:lmao2: this is about to be a comedy site around Thanksgiving

They , the Texans picked this guy up a week ago for FREE!!!!! Then deal him to booger and the Dallas Cowboys, stealing a 7th round pick in the process. Unless this cat is a decent run stuffer/role player, it will be a waste.

About the time I didn't think SJ could get worse, we burn a draft pick for a practice squad player.
^this...and think...I bet we still could have elevated a player from our own PS to fill the void at DT at no cost, and we would have had him for Sundays game to boot.
