No doubt about it. Lovie was their first interview and now they're working on a contract with Bill O'Brien already. The Nfl shouldn't allow a team to get this much of a head start on a coaching search while the season is still going on. I'm pissed because Bill O'Brien was a guy I wanted in Dallas if Garrett gets fired. I wouldn't mind Lovie Smith either if Garrett is fired on Black Monday.

Honestly dude, I doubt Garrett gets fired regardless of what happens tomorrow. I just don't see it happening. Jerry's giving him one more year to get it right. He desperately wants him to be successful, and he's going to give him as much leeway as possible.

Garrett is going nowhere anyway. Accept it. Embrace it.

Beer helps.

I agree.
And no matter what happens, for a month, there will be a multitude of threads about the who the next coach should be, or Garrett should be gone still, or something to that effect.
But that's what people are here for too, too post, agree, disagree, have no opinion one way or the other.

I think if Dallas wins or loses close JG will get another yr. But if this team gets blown out like the saints or bears game i think he's canned

They got the head start because they fired their head coach during the season. An opportunity every team had. I dont want Lovie Smith. I know he had a team get to the Super Bowl and he had some some good seasons in Chicago. But lets put it this way....If Lovie was the only guy available, I'd rather stick with Garrett for now.
Which is gonna happen anyway, because he isnt getting fired. Dallas can lose tomorrow night 49-13 and Garrett isnt getting canned.

I don't see a whole lot of special coaching from O'Brian plus I am not in favor of any Sandusky stink near Dallas

Well, every team has to 'use' at least one black coach in the interview process...if thats the word you wanna use.

The nfl was about 30 years too late on the whole Rooney rule, talk about white guilt.

I don't think you use a coach who got his team to a Superbowl as a sham Rooney Rule interview.

If you want to see a real sham, look no farther than our fearless leader Jerry, who used Ray Sherman for just that purpose when he already knew he was hiring Family Portrait Boy... Then fired Ray a couple weeks later.

I hear ya man. And honestly, I'm cool with Garrett for one more year. Give him 2014 to get it right and if he can't, then let's move on and bring in some new staff.
