He should be fired. I think their HC is a classy guy.
I have to question why a coach or whoever he is feels the need to sucker punch a kid in the head. I can't recall ever seeing that before.
I saw Woody Hayes do it and cost him his job

A&M dominated the game in the trenches, and our QB was simply awful. I think at some point I would have tried another QB, any other QB.
Allen looks like he is going to be a good QB for A&M.
But with 5 personal fouls, a player ejected, and a sideline coach taking cheap shots on opposing players, .. not once but twice, I somewhat blame Sumlin for the culture there.
I agree that Sumlin has to be questioned for some of the culture on the current squad, but I don't include the player being ejected amongst that list. He was ejected for targeting, which I think is a horrible and overreaching rule in college football. It goes far beyond the goal of player safety. I hate seeing guys thrown out of a game for these types of penalties. There should be a flag, but throwing a player out is too harsh a penalty especially since they have to sit the next game as well. Sometimes things just happen too fast for some of these vicious collisions to be avoided. Throwing players off the field from only the defense is not a good thing and I don't really think it improves player safety.
Also, the guy taking the cheap shots is a not a coach. He is a student assistant. I think he is either 20 or 21 years old. Still a jerk who should lose his position with the team, but not a coach.
Coach or not, .. do you think that today was the first time that he has ever done anything questionable? Do you think everyone was surprised, .. or had seen him do questionable stuff previously?
When you are wearing a headset and a team jacket you are representing the University, coach or not.
Maybe it's unfair, but I think the coach is responsible for everyone representing the team. He has been there for two years I think.
I agree. Sumlin should be held accountable for this because it is inexcusable and unneeded. I just think it should be noted that the guy is not a coach.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Texas A&M student assistant coach Michael Richardson was sent home early from the Aggies' appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl after hitting West Virginia players in the first half of Texas A&M's 45-37 win on Monday at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
