Longhorns will crush the Aggies. A&M is terrible...Mike Sherman really needs to go. 3 years under him, they should be improved by now. At this rate, they will be lucky to make a bowl game.

At this rate? They just lost three games to three ranked team. They might not make it to a bowl game because they still have to face Nebraska, Texas and Oklahoma, but there is no reason they shouldn't beat Kansas, Tech and Baylor.

Dear Texas,

Thanks.

From,

A Sooner fan. :)

You should not be thanking us. In the long run, Nebraska losing is probably going to hurt you more than anything.

i expect better from you....sadly disappointed

Man Nebraska had a lot of dropped balls. Offense for Texas seems to be clicking. Sam Acho had a great game.

Our offense still sucks, but we scored enough to win. Gilbert, for such a great HS passer, still isn't showing he can pass on a consistent basis in the college game.

We were fortunate that the Nebraska receivers were suffering from a severe case of the Dropsies.....heck, they dropped 5 passes that could have been TDs. I found it funny how the announcers were touting #24 early in the game, and then all he did was drop pass after pass the rest of the way.

Nebraska is quite fortunate on the fumble front. To fumble as often as they do and to only lose about 1 a game, is very fortunate. The ball just seems to bounce right back to them. At any rate, the fumbles did cost them downs and yardage, which helped to stall several drives.

The Horns D deserves a ton of credit. They put one of the top offenses in the nation on lockdown, holding them to 6 points, and no TDs. Yes the dropped passes helped mightily, but still, the Horns D came out to play this weekend.

I don't care about the score or how the win happened, I am just so happy the Horns won yesterday. It was great to send those Huskers packing as they take their cowardly, sellout behinds to the Big 11. Good riddance.

I hope the Sooners meet up with them in the Big 12 Championship game and just curb stomp em for old time sake....and everyone in here knows how much I hate the Sooners.

Do not discount Baylor. They are stronger than they have been in years. If Griffin remains healthy, they are not someone you want to go up against with something riding on the line.

The Aggies are having a horrible time this season because they turn it over too often. I dont know what they did yesterday, but they are averaging 4-5 turnovers a game. You cannot do that and be successful, I dont care how great your team is and how horrible the opposition is.

Biggems I agree about Gilbert and the passing game, but I did like when he ran and the running game.

in the 1st half yes....Greg Davis has a superb game plan...I loved it. I only hated 1 call, and that was the 3rd and goal call on the first drive. Not one route went to the end zone, so even if we do catch it, 4th and goal...but other than that one play, Davis called a great 1st half, and Gilbert executed quite well.

I was a bit baffled that we just sat on the clock to close the 1st half though. I haven't seen Texas be so "Whatever" under Mack Brown. I figured we would at least try to get into FG range or something. Maybe because we were on the road, in a hostile place, a heavy underdog, and we have been mistake prone this season. Plus we were getting the ball 1st in the 2nd half.

Now in the 2nd half, the old Greg Davis came back. He was ultra conservative. Gilbert didn't barely left the pocket. There were 2-3 third and short chances where Gilbert neglected to run for the 1st, the way he did in the previous half. It was very frustrated to watch.

We still have yet to see a complete offensive game from this team. If they could ever put it all together, watch out....unfortunately I do not see that happening this season, until maybe the Bowl game.

boy i love how classy the OU fan and bob are. i notice no threads about their teams. i wonder why? could it be because no one cares?

yes i did notice, and you know i wasnt talking about you. did you forget i congratulated your team? and the only reason you were rooting for the horns is because nebraska might have been ahead of you in the polls.

i just find it funny that some people are so obsessed with how the longhorns are doing and what they do that they come into a longhorn thread to talk crap whether they win or lose or how well they played, rather than start a thread about their own team, or talk real football.

and if you call that whipped then i feel sorry for your team

I'd have to say nobody in the history of football is luckier on fumbles than our Longhorns have been the last 5 years or so. It's almost comical.

Tech for some reason gives A&M fits and has done very well against them over the last decade. There is no reason to believe that an A&M win is a given. Could be a good game to watch.

The demise of the longhorns looks to be premature. Great going guys if the Horns can run the table they can put up another 10 win season and with some help along the way who knows what can happen.

Given some bad breaks and bad luck Texas has dealt with this season a little good luck was needed.
