For the sixth straight year, the Longhorns rank No. 1 on the Collegiate Licensing Company’s list of most merchandise sold among CLC-represented institutions for the July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 fiscal year, it was announced Tuesday.
Texas generated slightly more than $10.6 million in royalties from its merchandise over the period, a spokesperson said.
Rounding out the top 10 are Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Michigan, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, LSU and Penn State.
The other Big 12 schools in the rankings include No. 12 Oklahoma, No. 18 Missouri, No. 19 Texas A&M, No. 20 Kansas, No. 25 Texas Tech and No. 26 Oklahoma State.
Among the notable schools not on the list because they aren’t represented by CLC are Ohio State, Southern California, Michigan State, Oregon, North Carolina State and Virginia Tech.
