Garcia HR!!! Rangers WIN game 1, 6-5
They said Garcia has hit a HR in 5 straight games.

This team is special. They have patience at the plate and force pitchers to work throughout their entire lineup. The 9th hitter Taveras was 0-3, got behind on the count and still forced 2 big walks at the end there. That shows me the mentality they have and gives me hope that they can go all the way.

Stealing this game was so huge. All signs were pointing to a letdown because they just scored 9 and 11 runs in the past 2 games against Houston so naturally, the offense was probably not going to light it up for a 3rd straight game. And like all pitchers, Eovaldi was finally due for an average game after being good all postseason so far. Now that he got this start out of the way, I'd feel pretty confident in him bouncing back in a potential game 5 or 6.

If I'm the Diamondbacks I'm considering walking Garcia as much as possible.
That's a thought that's gotta run through some managers minds.

Teams are already walking Corey an ungodly amount...avoiding pitching to him. Carter also has an OPS near 1000. Garver, batting 5th is no slouch.

Whole line-up is full of hitters. Can't walk 'em all.

For those less informed here is a list of
2023 Ranger All-Stars:

C Jonah Heim*
2B Marcus Semien*
SS Corey Seager*
3B Josh Jung*
LF Adolis Garcia
P Nathan Eovaldi

*Starters

This list doesn't include late rising rookie phenom Evan Carter. It doesn't include the injured ace pitcher Jacob DeGrom. It doesn't include late-season acquisition pitchers Jordan Montgomery and Max Scherzer.

I can hear the whine from parochial Philadelphia, "bUt wee doN'T knoW the nAmes of anee RaNGerz. TheyzZ NoBodee"
