Anything can happen in baseball. It's a fickle game. Won't predict who wins the WS. Maybe it's my home-folk the Dbacks...or my fav team, the Rangers.

Will say this: before midseason injuries sidelined all-stars Heim, Jung, Eovaldi and Garcia...Rangers either had the best record in the AL...or were close to it.... as well as the best Pythagorean record (run-differential). They had the most prolific offense in the land, while also playing extremely solid with the leather.

They have been rising. And pushing. And shining...this season.

I heard the announcers counting Montgomery in the 24 scheme of things . I think St Louis unloaded him because he’s a FA coming up .

Going to take a brinks truck to re sign him but the Oilmen who own the club aren’t shy about spending .

And how has Ohtani helped the Angels to post season success speaking of FA ? About the only team in the West with no success lately discounting the minor league team in Oakland . No way I buy Ohtani .

Idk why these Philly folks are acting like the Phillies are some juggernaut. They have won two titles since 1883. That’s an average of one every 70 years and the first one took darn near a hundred years(1980). That’s a crap ton of losing for such a “pristine” organization

When is Adolis Garcia a free-agent? Talk about great timing to cash in. Stay hot bro. Finally win a World Series for Dallas. I may not be much into baseball these days, but as someone who used to cheer them on when Charlie Hough was their best pitcher, Scott Fletcher the best fielder, and Pete Incaviligia and Ruben Sierra were the best batters, hope they finally get their due!

Quick little rant about something bothering me......there was an article yesterday about the Diamondbacks "keeping receipts" because they get no respect and how they have a chip on their shoulder. The media and broadcasts can't stop talking about them. The Rangers also had a 100 plus loss season and then a 90 plus loss season to then go to the WS. They are underdogs too. Stop manufacturing this drama when both teams are a good story.

LOL Rangers and Diamondbacks have been pulling in big ratings before the World Series (don't think last night numbers are in yet). I'm sure a certain someone would give the Phillies the credit for the National League series, but American League had two Texas teams.

The first game of the Houston Astros v. Texas Rangers American League series pulled in a strong 7 million viewers on Fox, the most-viewed opening game of the ALCS since 2010, and the second drew 4.37 million across Fox and FS1.

After the games moved over to cable television, however, millions tuned in to watch the whole Arizona Diamondbacks v. Philadelphia Phillies playoff series, Nielsen data shows.

A total of 22.86 million people tuned in to TBS Network on cable for the National League Championship Series during the week of October 16 to 22, which encompassed the first five games of what would go on to be a seven-game series that ultimately sent the Diamondbacks to the World Series after a win Tuesday night.

Of the nine MLB playoff games that aired on cable last week, the top two most-watched belonged to the Diamondbacks v. Phillies matchup, with 10.5 million total viewers for Games 4 (5.4 million) and 2 (5.1 million).
The top-watched Rangers v. Astros cable face-offs, Game 6 and 3, drew 4.76 million and 4.6 million viewers, respectively.
The least-watched playoff games on cable were Game 1 of the Diamondbacks series, with 3.7 million viewers, and the Rangers Game 4, with 3.66 million.
In total, 40.1 million viewers watched the nine MLB playoff games broadcast on cable last week.

I just checked and it seems he's a free agent and he's only making 747k this year ***? They are going to have to pay up and keep him!

Actually baseball's contracts are confusing, I think he's under contract until 2027. But he will have to go to arbitration.

I seem to recall reading that they've lost more games than any team in any sport in human history.

They have to keep Him, He's the heartbeat of this team, the others feed off of His energy and the fanbase loves Him.

Well it says he signed a 1 year contract yet he's under contract until 2027? I have no idea how baseball contracts work. I know there's arbitration but I don't really know what that means. But damn they're getting him cheap right now.

If Texas wins the WS certainly Montgomery will figure large . No state income tax . I hope he gives serious consideration to coming back as a FA . Pair him with Eovaldi and fill in the blanks remaining rotation .

Pieces like Sborz Bradford down in the pen with LeClerc . No reason this team shouldn’t contend next season .

Jon Gray and Dane Dunning had nice nights last night . Can start or relieve . Hope Maddux returns .

Players with 3-6 years of experience are eligible for arbitration. Basically, a player negotiates with the team that has his rights over next year’s salary at a panel of arbitrators in the offseason. Arbitration can be avoided by multi-year deals.
