Right now, this is the difference between OU/Texas and Texas Tech. OU and Texas are used to getting everyone's best punch each week, Texas Tech has to learn that.

I think you hit the nail on the head...Also, Harrell has those "What the ..." games every now and then...this looks a little like one of those.

Wow....converting 2nd and 22s.

I think it is fair to say TT has quit.
I predicted OU 45-28. if they can kick a field goal and then quit.......

I'm as surprised that OU has 45 as I am that TTU has 7.

All credit to OU. They came ready to play tonight.

I never expected this.....OU was ready.

Anybody that has followed Big 12 football should have expected this. There's a reason why Tech hasn't beaten OU and Texas at their place since 1997. They are easily rattled and do not play well away from home against these two teams. We just simply "wanted" to believe this was a different Tech team. But deep down we knew it wasn't. They aren't ready for big time football.

The last time people jumped on Tech's bandwagon was in 2005. They played AT Texas and was 7-0 and was number 7 in the country. They left Austin losing 52-17.

Can't quit if you never started...

You OU guys need to get off your high horse.

I gurantee you this game would have been closer if Texas Tech had played OU instead of Texas.

Texas Tech is in uncharted territory with regards to their program. They are not used to being in this position and they have to learn how do with older, traditional and more successful programs do it.

OU is blowing these guys out, but I don't think you get this result consistently if you played 10 games.

You are correct to a point. I've been a TTU fan for a really long time. I am generally happy if we beat either Texas or A&M every year.

However, to suggest that this isn't a different team is incorrect. This team is better than those we have had in the past. Good enough to warrant a #2 ranking? Obviously not, but they are better.

Tech does not and probably will not ever get the recruits that OU or UT get. I think that has more to do with it than anything.

Also, it seems very obvious that OU spent the two weeks leading up to this game preparing much much better than TTU did.

Someone earlier mentioned they were glad that TTU was getting beat because some of the fans were acting like they had a lot of tradition. That is unfortunate. There is nothing worse than an ungracious fan. They will literally make you completely hate that team...which is exactly why I will never pull for the Ags regardless of who they play.

Sorry dude, I'm a Tech fan through and through, but I recognize a stinker when I see one. Tech is off their game, and OU is absolutely on theirs.

Hey Mick... I think Canton is a Tech fan, not an OU fan.

We OU fans are happy, but I don't see any of us getting too over-exuberant yet... we still have a lot of work left this season, and we need some luck as well.

This game won't matter one bit if we lay an egg against the pokes.

You right. I did go a bit overboard on it was still the same team. 10-0 sure doesn't tell me it's the same team and I know you're proud of this season. But this game just shows that you still have a ways to go. The first step is not beating Texas or OU in Lubbock or beating other Big 12 South teams. It's beating Texas or OU in Austin and Norman and start getting the same recruits. Tall order to do there.

TT better be lucky margin of victory was taken out of the BCS or I could see OU scoring around 70+ points.

I think you see a more conservative gameplan after 1-2 more TDs by OU.

I wonder if this affects whether Mike Leach stays in Lubbuck or not?

My bad Canton.

Yes, TT just didn't prepare themselves mentally for this game.

But there is no way, TT is this bad.

As I stated, Texas Tech has to learn to be ready for everyone's best shot week after week like Oklahoma and Texas.

I think they got a little complacent after the big win against Texas and just didn't know how to handle themselves because they have never been in this position before.

If they can have the same success next year, I think they don't make this same mistake again.

Man, that is one nasty tacking technique.
