The entire nation is ridiculing Texas for this win. So Texas was in a lose/lose situation tonight. Typical. ESPN is MAD that Texas won this game. You can see it in Gilmor's face.

Panch, the D played very well tonight considering that they are not used to a power running game. They are built to stop the passing juggernauts in the Big 12. Add a VY Clone in the QB position and you have the makings of a difficult game for the D.
That's the point. Oklahoma's defense is built the same way, but their offense is just flat out better with all star talent and that's what got them in over us. I'll give em credit for adjusting and playing better in the 2nd half, but the defense of Texas is nothing to brag about.

it was good enough to beat oklahoma!! they average like a million points and held them in check in the second half
If Oklahoma and Texas were to play again, I dont think Texas could stop em.

screw them, they are defending their BS system that makes them lots of money, they can all go to hell. i dont think it has anything to do with them hating UT as much as their love for the BCS

If they were to play again, I think Texas would win eleventybillion to zero.

But they don't play again, so we'll never know.

I think Oklahoma's offense got better. I dont think the same can be said for the Horns' Defense.

Well you can look at it that way but there are a ton of teams that didnt reach the level as what you guys have.

And the one that did, beat you on a neutral field by double digits...

I know that doesn't matter with you, but still...

You guys can beat UF and get the paper NC, but the bottom line is that you lost to UT...

I agree. If by the grace of God there was a playoff system in place and our next opponent just happened to be OU, I would not like our chances against them if we played like we did tonight.

HOOK'EM!!!
For God's sake we weren't playing for anything and we still won. I have a slight feeling you'd see a different team show up to start the game against OU.

it was a great game by your buckeyes, you have nothing to be ashamed or sad for, it was a hell of a game by two great teams, its just a shame one had to lose

I'll reiterate what MC KAos said about your team - they played one hell of a game tonight. Buckeyes showed a lot of class and guts out there and you should be proud.

Good luck next year, CC.

Thanks.

Hopefully Wells will come back and Pryor will have a year under his belt and a whole off season to work on his passing.

Here's to next year.

Go Bucks!

If McCoy of tonight played OU would win big, if McCoy of the season played it would come down to the wire.

Regardless, my beloved Longhorns won tonight and I'm going to savor this one. We really needed this to get through an incredibly long off-season while trying get that God-awful aftertaste in our mouths left by the Cowboys.

Thank God for the Longhorns for at least making it somewhat bearable.

id like our chances against anyone

I understand (and normally I would agree) but my point was based on them playing the same way like they did tonight. Would you still like our chances then?

Since you were addressing me, how do you figure Texas had nothing to play for tonight? Aside from the remote possibility of being selected #1 in the AP poll thus becoming co-champions with the BCS winner, don't you also think that it's incentive enough to go out on a winning note when preparing for next season with virtually the same players from this game?

I sure do...

Dude seriously...

I blind man could see this defense has grown all year.

OU was lighting teams up, and putting up 60 before they ever stepped on the field with Texas.

They looked just as unstopable.

Their no huddle offense has seperated them from everyone else from the get go.

Only problem is Texas plays SOME defense as OU plays NO defense.

Texas has beat OU 3 out of the last 4 years. Its not a fluke anymore.

Ohio State just played a good game. Credit to them.

It still wasn't enough to beat Texas.

Just like Oklahoma. They stepped on the field and played a good game.

It just wasnt enough to beat Texas.

Winning is really under rated in College football.

If OU turns into Tech/Mizzou Thursday night, which would be the normal thing for them to do, than it just proves more of you guys got suckered in.... Again....
