I understand (and normally I would agree) but my point was based on them playing the same way like they did tonight. Would you still like our chances then?

well, our defense is used to playing teams like OU, tech, okie state, missou, etc. who pass a lot.

OSU just played a completely different style and i think it was hard for them to adjust at first.

also, OSU has one of the best defenses in the nation. the only other team in a potential playoff with a better defense would be USC

oh and btw, what clutch moment does sam bradford have? the close game he played in he didnt come through when it counted the most. colt played his best when it counted the most, both in this game, against tech and against OU

Ohio State just played a good game. Credit to them.

It still wasn't enough to beat Texas.

Just like Oklahoma. They stepped on the field and played a good game.

It just wasnt enough to beat Texas.

Winning is really under rated in College football.

If OU turns into Tech/Mizzou Thursday night, which would be the normal thing for them to do, than it just proves more of you guys got suckered in.... Again....

 What does any of this have to do with what I was posting to jimmy40 when I asked him why he felt Texas had nothing to play for tonight?

Quan Crosby on day 2 of the Draft as the slot WR?

Discuss. Or cuss.

Absolutely not...

OTOH, I could see the Boys spending a day 2 pick on Quan COSBY...

Seriously, the way that kid blocks, he's like a smaller Michael Irvin...

i wouldnt mind but id take shipley first, he is a better returnman, but cosby is not too shabby himself at it.

Shipley's coming back for another year, the NCAA awarded him a medical redshirt for a prior season...

He reminds me a lot of Deion Branch.

I can just see Cosby in New England.

You boys deserved that win lastnight.

Ohio came to play. I knew they would.

Props to your Buckeyes CC. They played a very good game.

Day later, Media will tear down what Texas has done here because it doesn't fit the BCS agenda. At the end of the day, this was a great game, one of the all timers IMO. Colt McCoy is the best QB in the nation and it's a shame that nobody gets that.

USC beat this OSU team but they didn't beat them with Wells or Pryor. This was a completely different team then what USC saw earlier in the season. Media will point to USC and say that USC dominated this team, which they did. However, the Media said that USC with Leinart and Bush would dominate Texas an Young ran all over them. Texas played well agaisnt OSU. OSU, as many have mentioned, has an excellent defense. 7th ranked in the country and 6th ranked scoring defense. Texas had Pryor defensed on several occasions but he's so talented. He just made plays. It's hard for me to say that Texas didn't play well, defensively, against OSU. I think that they did play well. They gave up some things to Wells in the running game but that, IMO, is because they wanted to make certain that Pryor didn't beat them. It's all relative I suppose.

Those who think that Texas could have some how gotten a share of the NCS by winning the AP poll are probably not being very realistic. Texas had nothing to gain in this game and everything to lose.

I think it's unfortunate that we finally get a great bowl game, which is what all the fans cry for every season and all it will do is probably hurt both teams who played in it.

Great game Buckeyes. Great season Horns!

I think much of the nation knows how good McCoy is and I don't see how this game will hurt either Texas or OSU. I wish Texas would have been in the national championship but that did not happen but Texas went out and took care of their business and a game like that will only help Texas in recruiting.

Blah blah blah Colt McCoy is the best. Blah blah grats Ohio but my Texas team is the best in the nation...blah blah..Texas is awesome...blah blah ESPN has an agenda against Texas now ...blah blah

Pretty much summed up your entire post in 2-3 lines.

You had to come back in the final 2 minutes to win against a 2 loss team.

You and everyone was jock riding Texas alllll week long how you would destroy Ohio State.

It did not happen.

Oh and one more thing.

Colt and Mack getting up and claiming they are the best team in the nation and that Mack would vote Texas #1 was HILARIOUS. That old man says some of the most rediculous things I have ever heard.

Stay classy though.

Just as Pete Carrol did with USC, you bet Mack Brown is going to defend his team and has a leg to stand on and as a voter Mack can vote for who he feels deserves it and I'm sure the other HC who feel they have a legit claim to the National title will do so as well.

If anyone had a claim to a split title now it would ONLY be USC.

Texas can't claim jack squat now. They barely got by Ohio State.

USC crushed Penn St.

Texas would have as much claim as anyone, they beat OU who is playing for the title. We could go around in circles all day about who deserves it and I think there are about 4 or 5 teams out there who could make legit claims which is why I want to see a playoff system in place.

Well, we tried winning convincingly, 45-35, already. That pretty much got us zip so we figured we would try it this way and see if it worked out better.

So far, I still gotta hear OU homers talk a good game, right up to kick off. Then, for whatever reason, it gets real quite around Norman but yeah, thanks for the classy thing.

Hey CC.. I know you and I don't see eye to eye on much... ok, on anything but I wanted to tell you that your buckeyes played an awesome game and you should be just as proud of them as we are of our longhorns. Fantastic game. I'm not a college ball expert by any means, but that game last night looked and felt like the national championship... no matter the outcome, they both put on a hell of a show for their fans.

congrats on a great season.. much for you to be proud of there

He is making it hard for me to pull for OU Thursday. However my desire to see the Big 12 do well in the bowls supersedes OU fans. :laugh2:

Sorry I'm pulling for the Big 12. :laugh2: Tebow comment about the big 12 defense vs the pass kind of ticked me off. For a long time I and many others looked at the SEC as one of the main power house conferences and I still think they are but I want fans around the nation to understand that the Big 12 is one hard conference to play in and if you can make as the Big 12 Champion you accomplished something that is very tough.
