Shipley reminds me of Dallas Clark when I see him catch the ball

He makes it look sooooo easy. As if it is just effortless.

Wow...what a TD catch. 47-7
It sure was. Thanks for Shipley for setting that up.

We are just watching the Shipley show today. ;)

It's extreme blowouts like this that make me not a big college fan. It's just not enjoyable to watch. One team has talent, the other is practically a 3A high school team.

I agree with you. If it wasn't Texas (my favorite team), I would of changed it by now. Plus I don't get all of the Texas games, so the ones I can watch it is a joy whether it is a blow out or not.

the trend of the year for Colt...after he throws an INT, he heats up and kicks butt.

24-30
261 yds
3 tds
1 int (td)

....3 drops by his receivers, one of them by Kirkendall that would have been a TD. The INT counts as an incompletion......but he did actually complete the pass. So if his receivers didn't drop those 3 passes......

he would have completed 27-30 (28 if you count the INT), 4 tds, and about 390-400 yds all in the first half.

This is one of those head-scratcher kind of games where you have to ask yourself if Texas is really this good or is UTEP really this bad. The most likely being that it's a little of both but I have to confess that I truly like what I'm seeing from the Longhorns today. Of course there's always room for improvement on both sides of the ball but to date, this is the most complete game that UT has played so far this season.

I only had a few issues

Mack completely called off the dogs. IMO, you let your backups run the offense that you run....both run and pass. After he took Gilbert out, it was strictly a running attack. He should have let those other two kids throw a few passes, just to get the reps.

it was nice to see Hills blocker punch the ball loose.....too bad too, cause Texas would have scored a TD on that drive.

Kirkendall needs to catch that pass from Colt...that cost them a TD and they had to settle for 3. Shipley and Cosby make that play......Kirkendall needs to also. Against UTEP you get away with the drop....against OU, Mizzou, Okie St. you don't.

Awesome, dominating win......they earned their bye week.....bring on the Buffaloes

HOOK EM
