I've considered all of that. I should be grateful that he couldn't keep up with the game and how it has changed? I can't be. Sorry. If that makes me cruel and insensitive then I plead guilty.

I'm not talking about his game plan.......I'm talking about his eye for talent and heart.

Too bad he couldn't point that eye for talent and heart at himself. Game plans are part of the coaching package last I checked.

I can understand your feelings but you do have to consider that he created a different system from the first year he was there.........he's great at recognizing talent and brought some good people in. I think the problem was is that the game has changed since the early 90's and he didn't.........I think he found the talent but the game may have passed him bye.

Why are you shocked that there's more talent today than four years ago, when the cupboards were more or less bare? Bill and the team had nowhere else to go but up. He had high draft picks his very first year, followed by the infusion of high-dollar free agents. Given all those resources at his disposal, it would have been scandalous had he not improved the team. But why couldn't he win with said talent?

I agree I don't think he had the disire to KILL WIN in the last few years but I think he did a good job of setting us up for the future.

I see the excitement the players on both sides of the ball have at the prospect of being turned loose. I read the reports about how for 4 years he was an insufferable grouch that everyone tiptoed around.
See sig.

Then your thank you should be that he left, because by your own admission the game had passed him by and his heart wasn't in it.

I think that's what I said.

It's really hilarious how some accused posters of having "meltdowns" when they complained of anything Parcells either did or did not do while coach of the Cowboys. Posters were attacked, belittled, and some did their very best to discredit them.

Yet I read post today ....Hell everyday, from those that were the most boisterous towards those that were not so overly infatuated with Mr Parcells.

It's a sad state when some keep throwing senseless remarks against the wall with the intention of trying to prove a senseless point.

Parcells is gone, a new coach is hired, new asst. coaches are hired, w/more to be hired, there is FA, and The draft.......so practice what you preached ...get over your "Meltdown".

I was not over infatuated with Parcells but I did like him and I liked the direction he took us.

I agree.

Parcells was a better coach than Campo.

lol

can u imagine the type of team parcells would have had if dallas wouldnt have had any caproom or draft picks? do u think his record would have been that much better then campos? lol serious question to any of the parcells groupies.

i hear all this love about parcells did this and that. but what did he actually do? win 2 more games then he lost?

He brought in some very much needed talent and I give him credit for that.

I question the way he utilized, or maybe I should say, did not utilize the talent.

i say parcells brought in potential. other then a few draft picks like newman witten ware. nobody else has really shown talent. but are still living on that potential tag they had when they were drafted.
