I'm more in favor of him playing DT where he was dominantI'm in favor of cutting Tyrone Crawford and giving that money to Irving.

Imagine if this kid pans out to be what he looked like last night. Just think about it, Dak, Zeke, Jaylon (if he overcomes the injury) and now Irvin all in one offseason, this would be absolutely legendary.
...I didn't even mention Brown, he looks like he has a lot of potential as well.
If he can play like that on a regular basis then I'll get excited.
Thank you Sir
His second spin was unintentional. The guard lost his balance and leg whipped Collins, which caused him to spin the second time. I don't think the guard did it on purpose but it should have drawn a flag.Collins spun himself silly on that play. He was in perfect position for the sack, looked disoriented.
lol. Nice. That Godzilla is fantastic! Irving was outstanding.David "Godzilla" Irving
Looked like he was going for the butt sack.Collins spun himself silly on that play. He was in perfect position for the sack, looked disoriented.
Without medicationI have no idea if this continues but for one night he morphed into a pissed off Charles Haley.
I said that to my wife while he was in the midst of the greatness.Irving will be giving the league a urine sample this week.
He's a real SDE but he'll play WDE well just not an edge rusher.
Why has this guy not been starting or playing more before now at least? He absolutely took that game over in the second half.
had a great game for sure.. but here we go with the usual monday knee jerk on this board
What is his contract status?
Good observation. I didn't even notice the leg whip. His second spin was unintentional. The guard lost his balance and leg whipped Collins, which caused him to spin the second time. I don't think the guard did it on purpose but it should have drawn a flag.

Irving played DE early in the season and people here posted that he should move back to DT.Have we even tried to bookend Irving coming off one edge with DLaw coming off the other at any time?
If not, why not? Someone should ask Marinelli. Especially before Randy Gregory gets out there.
Remember, Marinelli has insisted on playing Irving inside at DT on limited snaps. The only reason we got an extended look at Irving on Sunday Night was that;
1. DLaw was hurt
2. Cedric Thornton was hurt
3. Benson Mayowa had to come out with an injury
4. Tyrone Crawford got hurt.
If the other DE's had stayed healthy, chances Marinelli puts Irving out there at RDE for an extended period is around 0%.
Like with the Romo/Moore injuries at QB, we may have LUCKED into something so good, the coaches have no choice but to make a switch and give Irving way more snaps. The only question is who's losing their snaps to him.
