Imagine if this kid pans out to be what he looked like last night. Just think about it, Dak, Zeke, Jaylon (if he overcomes the injury) and now Irvin all in one offseason, this would be absolutely legendary.

...I didn't even mention Brown, he looks like he has a lot of potential as well.

We didn't get Irvin this season. He was here last year

If he can play like that on a regular basis then I'll get excited.

Collins spun himself silly on that play. He was in perfect position for the sack, looked disoriented.

His second spin was unintentional. The guard lost his balance and leg whipped Collins, which caused him to spin the second time. I don't think the guard did it on purpose but it should have drawn a flag.

Why has this guy not been starting or playing more before now at least? He absolutely took that game over in the second half.

It kind of reminded me of the time Roy Williams was out and Miles Austin started in his place.
10 catches and 250 yards in game at KC. Suddenly we had a big time WR... until the hammys turned to spaghetti. Ugh.
Hopefully Irving's star can shine longer than a few games.

What is his contract status?

He's an ERFA after this season, we signed him to a 2yr 960k contract last offseason. We need to sign this man, Coach. Only 23.

An ERFA is an Exclusive-Rights Free Agent, a player who is not under contract, but has only two years of experience. If we make him an offer at the three year veteran minimum salary, then that's it, he has to take it or leave the NFL. These guys have no right to negotiate with other teams.

Have we even tried to bookend Irving coming off one edge with DLaw coming off the other at any time?

If not, why not? Someone should ask Marinelli. Especially before Randy Gregory gets out there.

Remember, Marinelli has insisted on playing Irving inside at DT on limited snaps. The only reason we got an extended look at Irving on Sunday Night was that;

1. DLaw was hurt
2. Cedric Thornton was hurt
3. Benson Mayowa had to come out with an injury
4. Tyrone Crawford got hurt.

If the other DE's had stayed healthy, chances Marinelli puts Irving out there at RDE for an extended period is around 0%.

Like with the Romo/Moore injuries at QB, we may have LUCKED into something so good, the coaches have no choice but to make a switch and give Irving way more snaps. The only question is who's losing their snaps to him.

Law of physics, when a body goes in motion it stays in motion. And that was a big body, once he started spinning he was having trouble stopping his momentum so small things can exaggerate the effect.

Irving played DE early in the season and people here posted that he should move back to DT.
