Probably sillier, Romo still gets regular mentions now. Every thread with Romo in the title should immediately be cast into the History Zone. He ain't a Cowboy anymore and never will be again.

I'm not attempting to diminish his impact or relevance as a former player but he is a former player. He is an historical Cowboy.

Of course he’s a former player. I’m not sure what implication you’re intentions are with “ historical” ? I haven’t seen it used in such context before.
