Would you say the Texans were still tanking if they had won the game today?

Players surely wanted to win...

The coaches POSSIBLY wanted to win, but they obviously followed orders, and secured the Loss.

Any peewee football coach could call back-to-back sneaks down there at the 2 foot line, and walk away with a W, if that really is what they

Dumb post from a front running fan....lol

LOL, ok.

I just hope the Cowboy PLAYERS aren't lying to themselves like the people in here are.

I hope the PLAYERS let this sink in real good: that a 1 win team BEAT them on the field today, and the only reason they won was because the other team wrapped the game up for them in a nice shiny Christmas package and handed it to them to ensure the top pick...and that if the Texans organization had wanted to win, they could have sealed the game away after that Dallas turnover.

If the PLAYERS convince themselves they earned this W, just like the fanboys in here apparently have, then they are setting themselves up for further humiliation against teams that actually want to win.

This makes me think you didn't even watch the game. The players at no point looked like they weren't playing to win the game. Gallup took one of the hardest hits of the game on 2nd and goal there when they knocked the ball out. You can't tell me they didn't want that game.

This has already been said a million times. Of COURSE the poor, sappy players want to win. Players change teams so often...they don't care about making sure the texans can draft the QB of their choice. But management does. Hence...the moronic 3rd down call to hand the ball off 7 yds behind LOS on 3rd and goal from 2 foot line...instead of doing what any team trying to actually win would: qb sneak.

You KNOW pro teams tank games. You KNOW NFL teams have, and will, tank games.

The Cowboys should be thankful of the gift, but learn from this, not lie to themselves

Two quarterback systems rarely work because no one wants to be half of “the guy.” When both quarterbacks are buying in (as they were today), you know the team wants it. Houston was all in.

Haha.... your glasses are so blue, you'll tell urself any sort of lie to make urself believe we beat a team that wanted to win

There's a good reason why the Houston team has an overwhelming record of losing. Their coaches and players were playing their hearts out. It was quite fortuitous that Dak found the better version of himself, before it was too late. The plays that decided the game at the end were something special.

Just go read the dam Houston media coverage... the reporters and football people that cover the team week in, week out LOL.

I know you still won't believe it....and may actually convince urselves they are tanking against every single team, but us, because obviously beating Dallas is all anyone is concerned about, what with our organizational dominace over the last 25 years.

Man, denial is a Powerful thing.

So your theory is: "Okay guys, let's play hard for 55 minutes, have a lead late in the game, then call two running plays that don't work to make sure we lose, assuming they can drive 98 yards for a touchdown."

Denial isn't the only thing that's powerful.

I mean...they're goal was to lose,....and they STILL almost accidentally won. That's how bad they suck....they WANTED to lose (players probably are clueless, but coaches had their directives).and yet they almost screwed THAT up. Took that blatant tank job deep handoff on 3rd and 2 feet from goal line to secure the L, but that was just so obvious, knowing 2 QB sneaks guarantees a win , especially against a poor run defense.

It's a humiliating win, knowing they gave it to us despite our many tries to not accept it, but I'll take it (shamefully).

  • The league really needs to look into these teams that intentionally lose though, as it threatens the integrity of the game, even if we benefited from it today
    • They didn't need to lose. All other teams have at least 3 wins.
    • The Bears and Broncos each had 3 wins going into today.
    • The Texans lost to both teams already.
    • Therefore, the Texans would have to win 3 more games to not get the #1 draft pick.

He’s an Eagles fan. His screen name saying he’s a fan of all of those teams is just a swipe at Dallas fans being bandwagon fans.

You should look at this guys history.

He’s just a Philly fan here causing problems because Dallas didn’t easily beat the Texans.

WTH so they are tanking bc they ran the ball on 3rd and 1 from the goalline? That makes no sense.

LOL, yup he exposed himself pretty bad. Nobody with any ties to this area would EVER say that Houston or DFW would tank against each other. That's just not how we get down here in Texas. I can't even enjoy baseball right now with the Astros winning so much. It was a good try tho.
