He didn't turn the ball over. He's steady in the backfield. He makes good reads.

So, yeah, despite not adding anything physically to the position, he keeps everything in front of him and allows others to carry the load.

I also think it's fair to say that we didn't know that in the preseason to the extent that we do now.
He drives the bus, which is exactly what you need from your back up. Add good coaching. Good game plan. Good play. Calling. Great defense. Good run game and it leads to wins...

And we just have to keep it up.

NFL games are won by consistently getting into third and short, because it leads to lots of third down conversions which is one of the 5 most important stats in football.

Pollard has his role, but until he stops being a high risk for causing a sack/fumble he will not be on the field as much as Zeke.

NFL games are won with big plays.

The Zeke way has gotten us nowhere. Or do you not pay attention?

Yeah.

Get therapy. Your issue is not based on performance.
Do some research before you run your mouth in the last 4 weeks we have not thrown an interception and only have one lost fumble and our penalties are down to an average of about five a game.

That's better performance through less mistakes.

Bravo to Cooper Rush. He did everything you could possibly ask for of a backup QB and helped us win 4 straight games.

Having said that, I believe it’s time for Dak to come back.

Rush has been solid but he’s also shown how limited he is the last couple weeks. Granted, his WRs didn’t help him today with all the drops; but I believe, despite the flaws of his own, Dak objectively puts us in the best spot to potentially go on a playoff run.

So here we are. 4-0 with Cooper Rush at the helm, and our starting QB should be back in the fold when we face the Eagles next week. I really really hope that they force Dak to play more within the design of the called play and stop giving him so many freedoms. If they reign that in a bit, I think Dak can be very successful.

Cooper Rush, I appreciate your service! My hat is tipped to you, sir.
that makes no sense. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
right now with rush they have a winning formula and it forces better effort from the defense and ST. It works, and rush always scores enough with no
turnovers , or mistakes.
Guess you miss losing.........If it ain't broke don't fix it.....we ride with Rush!!!!
They do miss losing ! lol actually they think put dak back in and pass for 400 yds and they still win lol. When they go back to dak things will start to change
for the worse gradually.
There's NO WAY they bring Dak back against the Eagles after going 4-0 with Rush.
Oh the jones boys might do anything lol. But they might stay with rush out of curiosity.

And I dont think they would be stupid enough to put a cold dak back in against the eagles, but who knows.
I would wait till a game where dallas fell way behind and rush looks ineffective, and then put dak back in to try and save game (if that were to happen lol_)
But thats me , I have no idea what jones boys will do. I know Stephen has been real quite about it, and jerry has yet to publicly give kudos to Rush.

I think they are stunned ?

And I think they game planned to limit rush today, playing to not lose, and it worked, but if they try same thing with phil it may not work.
Phil is better than the rams.

Yes. Rush is responsible for fewer penalties.

Brilliant take

You're finally getting it a quarterback that doesn't hesitate and is decisive making quick throws helps his o-line and keeps them from having to hold their blocks and commit holding penalties

Are you saying that they aren't going to play there 40 million $$ QB? Get real. There is absolutely NO QB controversy other than a bunch of people sitting around chatting in a forum. Dak will be the starter in two weeks and he will be next year and most likely the year after. Might as well get used to it buddy.
Go back over my posts and you will see that I have continuously said Dak will be given one more chance. . .

And He Will fail because He is a Shell of what all you Dak Fans have projected on Him . . . At this point He can't even fake it

As a Cowboy Fan the best thing that could have happened to me was Dak coming back against the Rams & Eagles . . . So that scrapped the bed and we could finally be done talking about Him

Now it looks like He may come back for the easy games against Chicago Or Detroit

As far as the contract. . . . Its not my money except it does affect the cap . . .Those genuis' better figure out how they can dump Him and make it work ( No matter the dead money hit . . .

A limited QB has already shown that this team could find anyone else to be the QB

Dak is not a Nescesity any longer

I’m all for getting dumb Dak a la 2016 back. Keep the offense simplified for him and don’t let him audible just because Romo used to do it all the time.

Romo was calling audibles with a .45 while Dak audibles with a .22

it’s amazing what a superior minded quarterback with poise can expose about Raynes weaknesses.

excellent take on the subject, blackie.

I don't think we go back to Dak until after the Philly game. I mean, he hasn't practiced since the injury. I believe we'll work him back in this week and then have him going full speed the following week to play Detroit. We might have him active as the backup Sunday, though, to step in if things go sideways.
