Thanks for the good run, Rush

This is fandom. This is not how coaches and front offices work. They play the best players when healthy. They don’t adjust starting lineups for PR management.
Have you been a Cowboys fan very long? Do you know much about this organization?

They do not play the best players. They play the richest players.

That's why Zeke got 22 carries and Pollard got 8 today.

Then bring him back.

What could go wrong, right?

If he's healthy, you absolutely bring him back. It's exceedingly unlikely we will be able to beat Philly scoring in the 17-23 range we do with Rush, especially given the quality of their defense.

I want Dak to succeed but if comes back and stinks up the place, bye bye.

You're paying one guy pennies and another guy a fortune.

Who would you rather lose a game and look bad with?

It's literal common sense.

Umm, I'd rather put the best players on the field.

It isn't "common sense" to assume a loss.

Zeke continues to play more because every time Pollard is in the game on a passing down he tries to get the QB killed, and you cant play a guy a lot if the defense knows youre running when he's in the game.

I'm sure the fans will have more trash ready to throw for when our 40 million a year QB craps the bed after going undefended without him.

No worries.

Until we lose a shoot out with Rush then we don't know what is and is not unlikely with him. It's all speculation.

Rush isnt capable of getting into a shootout let alone winning one, thats the point. Every time Moore lets the leash get even a bit longer he tries to throw the other team the ball.

But it doesnt surprise anyone that you've aligned yourself with the type of people who attend football games to throw trash at players.

You people just don't get it. Dak isn't going anywhere. THere is no way we can absorb the dead money if we cut or trade him unless some other team would agree to take the financial hit....which very rarely happens. And then there is the matter of fact that Rush is a FA after this year...so coupled with Dak's huge dead money hit and the fact Rush would be looking for a starter deal....it is pretty much impossible.

Giving Rush starter money ($20+ million) would be even a bigger mistake.

Speculation on your part there about what Rush can and cannot do.

I won't entertain speculation. Until it happens we don't know.

Yeah it's a heck of a coincidence but a lot of teams have been struggling when they face our defense lately considering they've allowed less points than the 85 bears in the same number of games.

Imagine if our receivers would catch the ball and move the chains what a wonderful world it would be

If the Cowboys had the offense they had last season along with this defense they would be a very dominant team! Our lack of scoring is the only thing keeping opponents in games. The Cowboys haven’t had a defense like this since the early 90s.

wait in preseason everyone said we need a new back up QB (myself included) and he is trash....so now, we haven't had this good of QB play in a long time...seriously. he had 16 passes and 102 yards....we rushed the ball 30 times. the defense/special team directly responsible for almost 10 points. but yeah, I guess they are trash.
He didn't turn the ball over. He's steady in the backfield. He makes good reads.

So, yeah, despite not adding anything physically to the position, he keeps everything in front of him and allows others to carry the load.

I also think it's fair to say that we didn't know that in the preseason to the extent that we do now.

The defense will be even better once we can score more points and have a more offense that can sustain drives consistently. Opposing offense aren't taking many chances knowing our offense can't score consistently.

I'll say we stick with the more intelligent QB who can at least read a defense.

With this defense, a ball control offense that limits turnovers and scores around 20 a game is a formula for success. Rush provides this. Can Dak move the ball and limit turnovers with this personnel? This is yet to be seen. Stats are irrelevant when the team is playing winning football.

CeeDee and Gallup didn't do him any favors... But, like I was saying in another thread, I think the actual big reason we do so well with Rush is because of the mistakes he prevents pre-snap.
I think he is doing a lot pre-snap in a lot of situations, that has prevented mistakes that could have been bad.
Average Fan doesn't understand this

No, Im just realistic. Rush isnt winning these games, the defense is. Kudos to him for not screwing it up.

Be honest here...............If Dak had been in the same position what would be your response? Would you be slobbering all over Dak and thanking him for winning us these games? LOL
I did in 2016

It’s worth it with Pollard.

His play leads to points. Zeke’s play leads to a short 3rd down if we are lucky.

Make Zeke the 3rd down back if you must but get him off the field in favor of the better player.
