That does it. I'm getting DirecTV.

This is my 4th year with Sunday Ticket, I haven't missed a Cowboys game yet. There is nothing like watching them in HD also.

The DC cable systems SUCK (especially Comcast--I can't say enough bad things about them). One of the best days I ever had was taking my cable box back to them & telling them to go screw themselves. They couldn't pay ME to make me go back to Comcast!

No kidding. My Comcast bill goes up every month. If you can lock into a set annual rate for Internet service, why not cable?

No Dallas game in the DC area AGAIN despite the fact that the Skins play at 1PM, leaving the late game wide open. Instead, we're getting Baltimore at Chicago on CBS and Commanders Wrapup on Fox! Screw you.

They have a special going on for new customers that if you get the Ticket they give you the Premium package (All Channels) free for 4 months.

Bay Area, if you wanna catch Dallas, find a good Sports Bar. Old Pro in Palo Alto is pretty gritty if you ask me. Decent food, and they got all the games playing.

Im in Eugene now, so I'm at Taylor's every sunday they don't air the game. Last week it was me and 5 Giants fans..great. At least the cook was a Cowboys fan, so my food was good.

I haven't been there. I've been goin' to Ricky's in san leandro. www.rickys.com

first time i walked in, i was like a kid in a candy store. so many tvs, so many games, so many attractive waitresses ;)

I've haven't missed a game in 9 years! Ticket is worth $200 Imo don't even have to think about it.

Every time I see a post here about someone missing a game I smile and I'm Happy it's not me any longer! :D

Plus the fact that I love the programming I can get compaired to my cable....DirecTv Rules! :)

I'm in 2nd season of Sunday Ticket....and it's great cause otherwise in the Boston area here I would rarely get the Cowboys game. I used to do the psort bar thing, but I prefer sitting in my living room and making my own food and drink.

Sports bar used to cost me at least $30 a game ... drinks and stuff. Compare that with the cost of DirecTV ...

Plus I'm home to help with baby, so wifie can't complain about me being in the sports bar watching football. :)

I'm in the heart of New England Patriots country and the Sports Bars here are well attended by Cowboys fans... Direct TV is nice but there are so many sports bar around competing against each other that they bend over backwards for you...

Glad I do not live in DC.

I live in SWVA and will be getting the game, thankfully.

I coulda swore our game was at 1 est! But on channel 9 here in Louisville the dallsa game is hsowing at 4. I feel soooo stupid.

dont get the ticket....alot of the games are televised in the ny/nj area....and if it isnt i just go and spend like 10 bucks at a sports bar and watch it

Cool, so am I. I used to go to the Fours alot for Cowboy games when I lived on the south shore of Boston. But I find it more comfortable and for me probably less expensive to watch it at home where the beers and food are cheap. When I used to go to the bars to watch it got expensive because I'd always have a few beers and usually get some food too.

if you go for the free popcorn and drink soda.

they are providing you a service - show your appreciation by buying at least 1 premium beer per quarter and some food.

I doubt that they let you nurse one beer through the entire afternoon.

1 per quarter - that's got to be like 4 or something.

:lmao2:

I've had Sunday Ticket for several years now. I don't think I could get along without it although I hate DirecTV's customer service.

I've always lived in areas where the Cowboys are rarely shown (unless they are winning), so for me, its worth it.

I did the sports bar thing in college. Even if I went early, I usually ended up on some uncomfortable chair trying to watch the game on some 25" TV across the room.

Now on Sundays, I fire up the TV early in the morning for pregame and pretty much watch football until I go to bed. The real beauty (besides seeing every Cowboys game) is that if a game sucks, find another one. If someone is chasing a record, flip to it live and watch it.

Dr. Z claims they are getting rid of the blackout if a game is shown on your locals. Figures now that I found a solution for that. I totally agree that if you pay for Sunday ticket, you should games on the ticket. I hate being interrupted for "breaking" weather (ie rain) or results of the local donkey bingo event.

Same here. I got sick of missing games and went out and bought this year.
