And a toss like that IS a risky play- NO MATTER what time of year you do it in. Timing has to be perfect and there is less margin for error there then in a short passing play.
howcome it worked perfectly for the eagles on the previous series?
Because westbrook caught it? Or was it less risky for the eagles to run that play down 6 in the 4th quarter of a playoff game on the road.
You need to get your story straight. If it is too risky then howcome the eagles did it? Howcome it worked perfectly for the eagles? Was it any less risky?
the answer is westbrook caught it and bush did not....end of story.
Players make mistakes and coaches get blamed, that is the way it has always been.
Its like a student who fails a test and the parents attack the teachers and the school board.
Sometimes players make mistakes. Its human nature, its athletics.
the saints overcame that mistake by bush because they are a good team. Give credit to the coaches for that and stop blaming the coaches for bush's fumble.
Look at boise states win over ou. If those plays in the end didnt work and the players fumbled, the whole nation would have attacked the coaches and the program and called them stupid and too risky plays. The players executed perfectly, they won...coaches are heroes for making the game fun and taking risks.
