Id only go a couple series against SF, and then no 1st teamers Vs Minny. I wouldnt play any of the top 3 backs either.

Id love to let Mcgee start and finish Vs. Minny, but I dont think hes ready. He should play the 2nd half of both games.

3rd preseason game, generally your starters play 3 quarters. The last game the first teamers will all be in sweats.

Naturally, but that looked like it was it. A few 1st teamers went into the 3rd Q.

I think they made their point, and now its time for the bottom half to scrap it out for the last spots

That's because for Tennessee it was Game 3, and we wanted to match them up well. The third game will be more of an actual all-out game for 3 full quarters, usually, with the cleanup crew in the 4th quarter.

The last game is for those last bubble guys to play their tails off for a spot on the 53-man roster.

I dont see what will be gained playing Ware, Witten, Romo, Rat, Bradie, Newman(returning punts?:(), Spears etc.

I understand its a home game, but most of the starters are ready and weve got some depth issues to work out.

This is a nice put up or shut up time for some of these guys

The team looked great in what was billed as Tennessee's dress rehearsal, and I think we are set for the starters. I like the idea of McGee getting most of the snaps vs Minny. Lets see how he does for an entire half at least.

I think that I read that McGee had a sprained knee and could miss some time. He was hit as he threw the last TD pass.

Thats correct, Wade said he almost assuredly wont be able to practice this week. I doubt he plays vs SF.

I suspect the starters will go well into the 3rd quarter.

I was wondering why he didn't take the last snap on the kneel down. I guess now we know.

In the 3rd preseason game you generally want to see how your team reacts to adjustments made at half time. that is why they will play into the 3rd quarter

Game 3 is the dress rehearsal. There was not a ton of game planning for game 2...especially not from Tenn.

Except may for maybe teams like Jax (who is playing 2 games in 11 days) game 3 will be the rehearsal. Those teams playing Thursday may play their starters some in game 4.

Why would you say especially not from Tennessee?

This was Game 3 for them. And their starters played longer than they had in their first two preseason games.

I just don't see any evidence that Tennessee didn't game plan, other than them getting their butts whooped.

Yeah if they lose, it must be because they just went out there to just play whatever instead of gameplanning and just getting whipped

I think they just got beat. Maybe their 13-3 last year was a testament to the coaching/talent in the rest of the AFC and not the Titans. Not that they aren't a good team.

Are you are forgetting that Tennessee played in the Hall of Fame Game? That means they have five preseason games. Their dress rehersal will be game four. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to see our first teamers play decent. I just wouldn't put much stock in this game over all. It is after all just the preseason. The most important thing right now BY FAR is to just stay healthy. We'll know soon enough it Dallas can be a contender this season.

Was there anything I said that wasn't true?

I meant that the home team game planned more than the visitors, nothing more. If you wish to make a big deal out of 1/2 of a pre season game, go for it. I saw Dallas take the lead just before half time and play a nice 1st half.

I also saw Oakland have their way with us last week....don't put much validity to that either.

What evidence of this is there?

Wade disagrees. Sorry.

Was it fun sitting in on both team's meetings last week?
