That's James Houston!

You can see a high energy player in this cat.

He had 8 sacks in 7 games his first year in Detroit and then didn't play or produce much after that.

Could Dallas be his reclamation project?
Injuries played a part in his decline after that amazing start.

The Cowboys are getting the original James Houston again. I think they struck waiver wire gold.

I don't know that I've ever seen such a career stat history like that. There must be some behind the scenes stuff.

He wasn't a waiver claim. He was just sitting out there on the streets and we brought him in for a workout. Sometimes you get lucky.

We're so lucky to have a GM like Jerry Jones who works 24/7 for the Cowboys.

You can tell our players care about one another. Even just watching that short video clip. I'm really impressed they never hesitated. Knew who he was immediately. James Houston is a good player. He's young still too. A young vet that just needed the right opportunity, correct place to play. In my view he's a starter. He's our best edge. He's not huge, but does the job. We are blessed to have him. I ridicule McClay for some of his stupidity but in this one I gotta give him his Flowers. This was a great signing. Don't let this guy out of the building. Extend him NOW. While he's cheap

One of the posters mentioned his past injuries and then sometimes these guys wind up in the doghouse for one reason or another and never get back on their original track.

Even though Houston and a guy like Sanborn are roughly the same age, Sanborn HAS stayed on the field in Chicago but his numbers decreased every season and his athleticism is questionable.

I tried to tell y'all.
Actually you weren't the only one when he came into camp he did this in camp he did it in pre-season and then we came into the season we were all scratching our head on how this dude's not starting and getting 40 reps a game... Should have been the primary starter from game one... Not sure what Matt was thinking but I'm tired of hearing how a player needs to earn something how much more do you need to do to earn something he showed out in camp and preseason.

That's why I'm also high on Phil Mafah I know it was just camp practice in preseason but he was the best running back as far as consistency he flashed anytime you saw film of him no matter where it was and I know just as a physical player we're talking about you know being our power back of the future. Like to see him pulled off IR right now because I know he wasn't that hurt they're stashing him there and I'd like to see him backing up Williams the rest of the way 'cause what if Williams goes down this guy will be already in a groove and ready to take over if needed....

That's just my opinion but I seen the same thing out of him as far as effort consistency just motivated to play..

Man, we've done it before with Mark Columbo at right tackle after Chicago gave up on him—microfracture surger and all. LFG boys!
