For people that have demanded that Lucky be the Punt returner, this is probably a good story showing why it's better to let a player get acclimated to the NFL before throwing them into punt returns unless they are just super comfortable handling Punts based on dozens of returns in college.

The Niners probably should have just let him be a ST coverage guy and maybe a Kick return was awhile before throwing him into Punt returns.

He is an interesting guy for a practice squad or maybe as a ST coverage guy but he's already 27 so I'm not sure about him being a long term contributor if he does develop.

That is ridiculous reasoning. If you can improve ANY position you do it. Waiting for next season is unecessary.

I meant to say he does not improve the team this year. I do agree if you can improve the team immediately do the deed. He is such a raw prospect maybe one of the coaches can see the final product I am not that intrigued.

Jarryd never calls fair catches.

A little secret. Jarryd and C-Mike are required by the NFL to cover their hands in vaseline and wear 20 pound ankle weights. This is because teams stand no chance against them otherwise.

Also I think there is a rule prohibiting them from being on the same team. Other teams would have no hope against that combo.

One other note. The Cowboys had C-Mike give Hardy "a talking to" this week about his issue with the ST coach.

Hardy said "Sir, yes sir" then requested C-Mike's permission to go home and change his underpants.

That is a list of the 49er RB's they currently have. If they kept guys named Davis, Gaskins and Miller (never heard of any of them) over Hayne that tells me something.
