No one will remember that if the team loses. Sorry, its selective thinking. The way it goes with competition. Well, until said competition degrades. But the number 1 rule still applies.

Let me ask this, if you run the 99 yards and dont cross the plane, do you get points for the run? Oh noes. I hope im wrong.

Hey maybe the competition committee got together this week and changed the rules. How about this, we can beat the Eagles if our uniforms are snazzy? huh, wouldnt that be something to talk about. ooo the threads we can have on that.

If he doesnt cross that plane, yes they can. Ill try to remind you, you can run the 99 yards, if you dont cross the plane, you dont get points. You can try for the 3 pointer, but if the other team has more points, you still lose.

So, if you have 5 points, and the other team has 3, and the rule of the game, is the team with the most points win, who won? Thats right, you did.

Now, to sum up, doesnt matter how many yards you ran, right now (and im against this rule) doesnt even matter how sharp your uniform is, the number 1 rule still applies, the team with the most points wins.

Ill even throw this example in so you can run it across some IT boys and they'll show ya on the puter. During practice, you choose to concentrate to use your RB to run to the left hoping that will help you win, but during the game, thats not working. YOU CHANGE TACTICS. They dont care what you practice during the week, if it aint working, you gotta change, because you have to cross that plane to SCORE. Your are not going to win any other way.

Well, that's great and all, but what if Romo throws nine interceptions. Smash/Dash/Slash (I probably got that wrong) have a combined -50 yards rushing and Crayton fumbles three punts? One 1-yard TD McNabb pass to DeSean Jackson is all that would really matter. Remember, it's only about who scores the most points.

We should try to score more points than the Eagles, then.

So, Felix would have approximately 10 billion or so attempts to score, BUT the Eagles would stop him short of the goal line every single time???

See how your selective memory works. I believe in one game we tried it 3 times with Emmit and it failed. SO yes it might happen. And again, if you dont cross the plane, you dont get the points. Is this hard for you?

I mean, i see you are trying to belittle me and thats fine, your god given right, but you are not proving me wrong, its just wasting time. You still have to score more points than the other team, i dont care what you do, run it all day, throw it all day, run it in backwards, believe me, none of it matters if you win.

Am I the only one who has absolutely no idea what ShingStar and DallasEast are arguing about?

It's easy to see where we went wrong during that game. We didn't hand him the ball 9,999,999,999 more times. Dang.

if it worked we would, but after 3 times they changed tactics, tho it might not have been emmitt, could have been another RB, but i remember us doing that and the next day it was all over the headlines, what are you thinking three times in a row and the other team stops you dead. Real ugly time.

I bet most kickers aren't above 50% from 50+ yards.

That's probably true, but Akers is one of the best in the league. No matter the range, he seems to always kick well versus us. I won't complain if he ends up with very few or zero opportunities to kick any field goals from even that range.

I rather see Akers kicking FG than Jackson or anyone from Eagles scoring TDs. If Phili only get FGs then we likely will win the game. So....seeing Akers for FG may not be a bad thing for us.

Yeah, I can agree with that unless it's a tight game late in the 4th.

This is a "stupid fan" thread. I hate when people point out obvious things that are needed for any team to win a game. How about we add 1 more. The E for beating the Eagles is to score more points than them. This should be the "state the obvious for beating the eagles"

Man, extensive research, looking at hours of game tape and taking detailed notes of every play in the NFL over the last 10 years. Ive noticed the team who scores more points than the other team wins 100 percent of the time. WHO KNEW!!!!!

well you know, what you practice, is what you do on game day. It doesnt matter if it works or not, like not tackling, you see, and im going to blow your mind here, when the season ends, the players forget what they did last year. So they have to come back and practice it all over again. Sure its hard work and you have to remember how to walk, run, tackle, throw, hit the person with the ball, all that jazz. Than after that, after the season starts, you practice what you do during the week, for game day, because obviously it will work on game day. Now dont go fretting your mind thinking, well if we practiced the run, and the opposing team is stopping the run, we are going to go to the pass, WRONG. We'll just keep running because thats what the coaches figured would work.

Once that ball is kicked, all bets, all talk, all information on this that and the other thing are over with, its game time and its basically a fight to the finish.
