I have grown accustom to unpopular opinions. 30 years of Jones-depression will do that.
Who says disloyalty to a team isnt a real fan when our management's can't or won't pull their weight? I know this isn't news. They owe the fan.

There several creative leader coaches out there with inspiring QBs that I'll tune into. I know there's plenty of dont let the door you following I get it.

Every sports fan is free to do whatever makes them feel best. Life is too short to stress over anything that makes anyone unhappy. However, a bandwagon fan is still a bandwagon fan no matter how the term is interpreted.
I’m just pissed off that something that was so important to me was essentially taken away due to an ego maniac billionaire who thinks the world revolves around him.

Yeah he owns the team but the Dallas Cowboys are an institution that was around before Jerry was and will be when he is gone. Sorry but he owes a certain service to those who feel that way. He basically tells us that it’s a toy for him and his kids and too bad if you don’t like it. I hate that man with an indescribable passion.

Being honest it’s beginning to morph into apathy, albeit slowly. It’s sad when it’s gotten to where what I’m looking forward to most is for him to be completely humiliated, and things are well on their way in that regard…so there’s that at least but, come on.

The idea of winning anytime soon is long gone. I suppose that was stage one.

True, but Jerry has changed the connotation for me.

I no longer despise the term, but rather envy those who can find joy in another team’s success.

Why should fans be miserable? Sports are supposed to be fun.

The owners owe the fans more than the other way around, and Jerry has given us dog poop for 30 years.

Every Cowboys fan should be pissed off. Jerry Jones is a businessowner. Good or bad, management runs any business.

Football is a subcomponent of the Dallas Cowboys franchise. Its management has not produce a conference divisional round winner since January 7, 1996--coincidentally against Philadelphia.

Businessowners or corporate directors customarily replace managers who produce subpar results. An NFL team not advancing beyond the NFC Divisional Round on 7 out of 13 playoff appearances should replace any general manager.

Heck. One divisional round loss, along with two wild card losses, during a seven-year streak which also includes four seasons of .500 or below seasons, should have canned any general manager decades before.

Cowboys fans have not dealt solely with a narcissist owner in Jones. They have also been saddled with a <expletive><expletive> (think Samuel L. Jackson) stupid one in regard to comprehending what it takes to achieve championship competitive football without Jimmy Johnson holding his hand.

Every pro sports team owner made their money via a different source, or inherited the team.

Jerry Jones doesn’t need any more money. If the motivation isn’t to win on the field they shouldn’t be in the business. I’m not asking anyone to operate at a loss to do so, but that’s not even possible in the NFL.

Certainly it’s his right to act as he wishes, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it or accept it. It’s just wrong.

Now….most have their opinion as to them just wanting to make money, or not caring about winning, but I’m not even sure that’s the case here.

I dont even know what the motivation is any longer, but it’s probably largely about him thinking so highly of himself that he doesn’t think anyone else could possibly run the team better, and/or doesn’t trust anyone else. I’m not entirely sure him and the kid are on the same page all the time. I’m just out of guesses but I do know that there’s no real plan or strategy as far as the type of team they want to put on the field. It’s a simple case by case basis as to if a player is a bargain or not. If they don’t find a deal for a position of need, they just leave it, and that weakness of often exploited.

I honestly can’t believe they hat they can’t see that, or others don’t point it out. I’m really out of guesses for what makes any sense.

Neither you nor @Acceptablename will receive an argument from me. I simply have a different opinion about the term.

I have been unhappy with Jones complete stubbornness in not trying a different approach from a management perspective. Either he is the final decision-maker or no one will be.

That said, watching and following the team I fell in love with as a child has never disappointed. Have I been frustrated with the team during games? Yes. Do I facepalm myself during most occasions whenever Jones opens his mouth? Yes. Do I look at the short-term and long-term relative successes of other teams during the past three decades with regret? Yes.

Have I always continued to love this:

:starspin:

solely and without reservation every single day for 50 years? Oh yeah hell yes.

I understand who and what a bandwagon fan is. It is not me. That is okay. I am not someone else. I will always find joy inside Jones' hell. It is not required for anyone to share my viewpoint. It does not elevate or diminish anyone else in my eyes if that is their choice. Jones is an <expletive> for unapologetically regressing the franchise's standards for YEARS. No one should be required to remain loyal to the franchise he did not create and handicapped with his inbred ignorance.

That said, the franchise existed before him. It will exist well after both he and I are worm food. I love this franchise. Not the Jones family. I have not always enjoyed the product they shovel at us but I do not care one iota for the excellence, so-so or below average stuff every other team offers.

That's just me. Cowboys. 24. 7. 365.

Jones' motivation is crystal clear. He will either: a) win the way he wants OR b) flop like fish out of water because he did not win the way he wants. His motivation was established beyond a shadow of doubt well-within a decade of Jimmy Johnson leaving the franchise.

I created this video two months ago. It has always been true. It is still true. It will highly likely remain true as long as he breathes.

No one is a bandwagon fan of a losing team. If you still bleed silver and blue you are not a bandwagon fan.

You realize that there are adult fans on here that have never seen this team get past the division round, correct? Sad when you consider the team went from expansion to SB chsmps in 12 years time.

His reasoning has always been that anyone he hires as a GM would have to run everything past him anyway, so may as well just cut out the middle man. That’s deeply flawed logic.

Doesn’t make him or his kid qualified. At this point it’s just a toy, and the fans suffer. I mean really, how much more money does he need?

Man did I make a bad decision as a kid. My parents are from Boston - Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruin fans.

At a very young age for me, we moved to California. I became an A's fan because we went to their games, became a Cowboys fan early for some reason, and some how lucked out staying a Celtics fan.

I could have had a very happy life.

I'm from L.A., root for every other L.A. team but since we had no football team I became a Cowboys fan when I was a little kid watching them spank the Bills in the SB 52-17. I can't stand Jerruh Jones and I tried to follow the Rams this past season to slowly start converting because of him. It didn't work. Lol

Honestly the A’s might just win before Dallas does.

Strange how legally you’re not bound to decisions made before the age of 18 for good reason, but you have to stick with the sports teams you chose as a child….if you have any self respect anyway.

I get a huge kick out of “go find another team.”

Oh, I’d love to, and it would have very much happened already if at all possible.

I would gamble on Money Ball over Jerry Ball 100% of the time.

His public reasoning was an explanation to pacify anyone disagreeing with his management style. He really believes he is a football savant regardless of whatever comes out of his mouth stating otherwise.

Neither Jerry Jones or Stephen Jones were NFL qualified before February 25, 1989. Nearly 30 years of trial-and-erroring to recapture what Jimmy Johnson was mostly responsible for building re-emphasizes time does not improve qualifications neither one had in the first place.

So, are you trying to justify leaving? Just leave, and remove the rearview mirror.
