Romo only plays 8 games this year.

Coaching staff is fired but Garrett moves into front office.

Gregory and Rolando never play as a Cowboy again.

Jerry has serious health issues this year around Christmas time.

I don't envision a scenario where Garrett is fired this year, unfortunately.

1. We win 14 games in the regular season
2. We will trade 4 players by the trade deadline (Leary, Dunbar, McFadden and Hanna)
3. Lucky will return both a KO and Punt for a TD this year
4. Elliott will not win the rushing title but will win Offensive Rookie of the Year

1. Here comes the hate.....This is Tony Romo's last season. He will complete it on his feet but it will be obvious, the injuries to his back and hip will have taken its toll.

He will put up a very very galant effort, playing hurt, his season will end strong. However, it will end with the realization that another one just isnt going to happen.

2. The surprise rookie wont be Ezekiel Elliot, how could it be? He will have a good rookie season but not one that ushers in the next Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders or the Great #22.

Not to worry...The surprise rookie will be Darius Jackson, whose numbers will be almost the same as Ezekiel's.

3. Gregory willI never play another single down of NFL football.

4. Jason Witten will not be the leading TE in receptions this season. He will be productive but there will be an obvious passing of the batan to someone else.

5. The defensive line will struggle in the 1st half of the season.....mightily. They will directly cost the team a victory. However, you will see substantial improvement in just the right time, as December begins.

6. The Cowboy's backup quarterback with the 2nd most plays behind center, will be a rookie.

I agree with number 1. THIS is Romo's last season and it will also be Garrett's last season as team clapper.

In addition:

  • Leading sack leader will have 6 and be David Irving
  • Leading INT leader will have 3 and will be Byron Jones
  • Go 8-8 at best
  • Will lose a heartbreaker on Turkey Day

Romo and S Lee both miss some time due to age and just being injury prone.
EE has a good year but Morris gets his time. We rush for 1800 to 2000 yards.
Jaylon Smith does not play this year and this forum proclaims him a bust of epic proportions.
Gregory misses the whole season.
McClain comes back out of shape and is average in last 6 games. Gets released in early January.
The defense is a 20-24 rated unit that cannot stop the run or get pressure on the passer in the forth quarter and can not get off the field. The pass rush is better in games 9-16 and nets 28 sacks for the year.
We lead 6 games going into the final period but lose 5 due to the defense.
We finish 3rd in the division behind the Skins and Gmen, win 7 games to their 8 and 9 games.
Garrett is gone and Linehan gets promoted in January.

Well let's be honest, that prediction was and is the most likely to happen. There just isn't anybody out there worth going after. I think your prediction #2 will be the most impressive even though Zeke would have to have a ridiculously impressive year for it to be a surprise.
