The backup QB battle

Rush is a smart, accurate passer that lacks ideal arm strength. White is the physical prototype. But he's an ex-baseball player that has to tighten up his release. And all the pre-draft reports on White say that he needs to improve his pocket awareness. His clock is a bit off, and it leads to some ugly sacks and fumbles.

So I agree Rush is the backup for at least another year. White is a long term project until he proves otherwise.

Nothing like focusing on something unimportant when there are other real issues that get glossed over every day.

Goooooooo Cowboys!

There were predictions last year Dak would be back up and Cooper Rush would be the starter. :lmao:

What happens if we lose Dak for the season in the final pre season game and Rush breaks his ankle in training camp?

Then White steps in like the draft steal he is and all is fine. For a little while.

If that happened I think this would happen

White has potential but I am really liking Rush all the way. It will take alot ro dethrone Rush from the backup spot.

I love White's arm and when he throws it in there, his accuracy is impressive. But I think he needs some work on his pocket awareness and timing.

I love what Rush did last year, but I rarely saw him read a defense during the play. Most of his throws were pre-snap reads where he just dropped back and threw an accurate ball. Seldom did he come off of his initial read. It worked, but I have to wonder for how long?

I think rush should get alot of time against the 1st stringers in preseason but that wont happen.

What is it with the white hype over rush and he has sent even talen one preseason snap, YET, rush has a good preseason last year and he gets blown off by fans more than not??

Am I like seriously missing something here because it just seems assbackwards.

A lot of folks are talking good about White, but nobody thinks he'll be ready this year.

Rush is more like Dak than White Rush runs a 4.83 40 White runs a 5.09 Dak runs a 4.79 all 3 are slow as turtles Johnny Manziel 4.56

People don't just whiz through the PS and do what he did last year, Rush I mean. Last time a QB played that well in PS was Dak.

I'm happy and hope both he and White are stud trade able players in the future. It's about time we have some youth. I think both Weeds and Cassel threw the Vet deal out the window!

What you're missing is that Rush lacks the arm strength to play QB in the NFL.

Hey, you asked!!!!!
