Bad News:

I have to be in LA by tuesday, where I will be working until January. I hate LA more than any city in the country. I'd rather sleep curbside in Houston than stay in the finest LA hotel. It's a 24 hour drive from Dallas.













Good News:

I have an awful cold, couldn't leave this morning as planned, and will instead enjoy my first Cowboys game in HD today.

Weather is great.

Traffic is awful.

From my industry standpoint, the people are awful.

There is good and bad in every city. There are a few things I like. It's just not my kind of place.

Edit: For instance - I love NY. I'm just not a west coast person, I suppose.

It really is pretty - I love driving the PCH. But I could definitely never live there.

Not that Dallas is my favorite place.

My biggest gripe about L.A. is all the pretentiousness. Just all too fake. Then again, I'm more of a blue collar, jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. I am going to San Diego in January. I hope there are some regular folks there and it isn't populated with just illegals and uptight snobs!

your right CR I am socal just like you are a texan. We are good people. We know how to work hard and have fun at the same time. So yes I am so "socal". Thats why I moved back here after graduation. I'll enjoy the 65-70 weather in the winter while you freeze. And your traffice is just as bad as ours. Ever try driving down McArthur blvd at 6 in the evening? Its bad.
