The Joke who left wrestling to search for his "Smile"?
He's NONE of the things you listed. Just another tool full of himself & nothing that special to warrant any of those names.
He's one of the greatest performers of all time and you're an idiot if you think he wasnt special.

And stop attacking like he's the only goon to do what he's done. Hogan, Flair, HHH, among others got and stayed where they were at doing the same thing.

does anyone remember when the Bushwackers were the Sheepherders? As the Bushwackers, they were goofy and comic relief as faces. As the Sheepherders, they were hardcore, brutal, and total heels.

Yep, he dumped China and got with Stephanie.....I would say a huge upgrade to go from a man to a woman....but that is just me.

Flair never left the business to look for his "Smile" because he couldn't get his way. Michaels has never been anything more than a glorified luchador who knew how to work the mic & did a bunch of unnecessary bumps because he was sub-par as a wrestler. You may as well be talking about a less mobile Mick Foley. Now go back to drooling over his issue of Playgirl.

me too but it translated into that since it's a family site. I disagree with him and don't understand how butthurt wrestling fans get when a wrestler leaves. I bet he thinks the Rock "sold out" too.

Smh at a lot of the 'adults' in here getting hostile over wrestling... You guys are talking about it like they don't script this stuff out.

But just to clarify, its entertainment. There hasn't been a more entertaining person than the Rock. It was only a matter of time before he made it to the big screen.

The Rock kinda did sell out but you know what? I'd sell out too for more money and less wear and tear.

Shawn Michaels entire find his smile thing was earlier in his career. Before he ever joined DX.

Doctors told him to never wrestle again.

If anything he should be applauded for his desire to stay in the ring.

Now days he is the Half Bald Kid
and not nearly as entertaining or as good on the mic as he once was. Sometimes its brutal to watch knowing what he once was.

But hes still my all time favorite. He brought excitement every single time he stepped in the ring.

Wrestlemania 12, the iron man match, was definetely my favorite match of all time.

2 great performers who put on an amazing show that night.

Actually he was a 4 time world champion before he started dating Stephanie.

8 time World champion before they were married.

Exactly. He'd won the title at least 2 or 3 times, had a solid run, before they started secretly dating. The idea that he wouldn't be a main eventer is simply false.

Correct they were secretly dating...after he'd already made the main event and had been champion multiple times.

Flair left companies, and took their World title with them, when he didn't like the way things were being done with him. Let me know the time Michael did that.

Bret Hart went home and thought about retirement cause he lost the Ironman Match to HBK. He's cried for YEARS about how that match was put together only to make him look bad and it wasn't at all beneficial to him.

Yeah, Bret, one of the best matches ever, that everyone talks about, wasn't at all beneficial to you or your career.

Hogan has made a career out of not going along with anything that wasn't good for him personally.

If you don't like people because they're greedy, or ego-driven at some point in their career, then there aren't a whole lot of wrestlers that main event that you've ever liked.

with the way wrestlers die at such young ages he didn't sell out he might've saved his own life. he's know gonna be healthy at 55 instead of incredibily sore or dead. I give him credit cause he's actually a decent actor and the majority of his movies are pretty good.

I agree. The Rock was by far the most entertaining ever with his mic work. I used to watch every show available just so I wouldn't miss a single Rock promo.

Yeah his mic work isn't nearly as good as it once was but that's got a lot to do with him as a person, out of the ring. He's changed his life, a lot, and there are just a lot of things he won't say or do anymore. He's not the guy who would say, or do, anything in a promo to make it entertaining like he used to.

It's made his promos not as good but it's also, I would imagine, made him a far more happy and content person.

Back in the day, 2000 down to late 80's, wrestling was my thing.

I was so passionate about it.

I couldn't wait to wake up on Saturday morning and watch WCW, then later that night watch WCW Main event on TBS, then sunday morning watch WWF Superstars, then Monday night raw the next night.

Wrestling will always be apart of me even though I can't hardly watch it longer than 5 minutes now days without feeling like a goob.

Obviously though the quality has gone down and I think a lot of hardcore fans left around the same time I did.

Ted Turner selling out to Vinny Mac is what screwed up the industry.

Now WWE can be as lame as they want and nobody will touch them.

They are talent deprived and with 2 shows it makes them very watered down.

Man, you guys seem to know your wrestling! Anyone watch the TNA brand? I flip on it from time to time just because they have some characters I used to watch back in the day...

I watch and/or read recaps of the show on their site just to kind of keep in the loop here and there cause of the handful of people there I do like. I have never watched more than 2-3 minutes of any of their shows though.
