There are hundreds of great television intro songs. I'm almost afraid of posting examples that I think are top-notch for fear that that I alone might fatten this thread up more than the Peterson thread . This is the best all-time intro song in my opinion. I loved the original version from decades ago and the updated version for the current series. It literally gives me goosebumps almost every time I hear it.

Star Trek Voyager wasn't the best television series of the Star Trek franchise but it had the best intro song of the six in my opinion (with huge respect to Alexander Courage of courage ):
