Three-year starting defensive end (and shocking Combine omission) Ben Gardner, however, took full advantage of his opportunity to work out for scouts, recording a 39.5" vertical and a 10-2" broad jump - numbers that would've ranked second and tied for fifth, respectively, among defensive linemen tested in Indianapolis.

The 6-foot-4, 262 pound Gardner also was clocked in at 6.78 seconds in the 3-cone drill and 4.83 seconds in the 40-yard dash. These explosive numbers provide quantitative evidence of the athleticism Gardner demonstrates on tape. Like Murphy, Gardner is viewed by some as a 'tweener but he's shown the grit to handle remaining on the defensive line as well as enough fluidity and instincts to operate as a linebacker.

Gardner has been my # pet cat for months. I am stoked. If we can steal Skov now too I will be in heaven.

I think he weighs around 277 lbs now, so if he can get to around 285 lbs area, he could maybe play some 3 tech and some SDE.

He weighed in at a pretty muscular 262 at his pro day. No idea where all this 3 tech talk is coming from. He's a legit 4-3 DE

No secret that from the very first draft prospect post ive posted that this has been my guy. I've watched every game of his and he isnt the guy who is going to give you headaches or the guy who is quick to leave the facility once practice is over. Guy is a worker puts in the time to get it done. He wasnt highly recruited coming out of arizona. Hard work got him to where he was before that injury.

Who did Dallas get? They quite possibly drafted Ratliff talent 2.0. Without the headache.

They asked him where does he expect to play. He said he's expecting to be a outside force at the passrush and move inside and rush from there. Whatever this team needs me to do.

Are you ready to go with the injury? Im ready to, ill be ready to go next week at minicamp.

His size 6'4 277lbs right now.
