Dude, can you stop the exaggerations and ridiculous can't really, they can't because I've seen Oklahoma and Texas BSET teams and that's why they're going to the SEC you know who the Big 12 championship is this year get out be the Texas Longhorns you know who they beat this year they'd be Alabama you know what Alabama is oh that's right they're both in the college playoff... Did you look at the Texas defensive line this year really their whole defense they were stingy as hell in the run game they had one of the best defensive lines in football and that dude sweat and the other guy to play next to him are going to be top ten draft picks in the NFL whenever they decide to come out, so you might want to calm down and just stick to just stating facts instead of using some weird analogies we don't look like a Big 12 team...

So, let's just stick to the facts and by the way our offensive line is not small... They're part of the trenches they're normal sized offensive line our defensive line was not built by Jerry it's built by Dan Quinn because Dan Quinn runs a specific type of defense Jerry has nothing to do with it and has nothing to do with college this is the NFL a lot of defensive coordinators have built fast defenses that can defend RPO's and a lot of quick edge passes as well as cover a lot of pass happy teams he is undersized his defense is undersized but it's not really in the trenches because Davis ,mazi, and hankins are hardly small they're just not used as much but they're kind of small with their hybrid linebackers...LVE(BIG LB) got hurt Overshown done before he started,, Evans 6'1 235 Clark 6'3 243

So if you want to gripe it someone let's keep the focus squarely on Dan Quinn some who want him to be the next head coach for whatever reason I don't know but most of our losses have come on defense and I don't really think it's the defensive line specifically more the linebackers the safeties gap integrity and the scheme...
Out of the dark black sky comes a hand sign for the Longhorns and a bellowing deep voice: 'Hook 'em Horns!'

Too early to claim anything. Let's see how they do against Miami and Detroit and then we can talk some smack. If they lose one of those games, then I doubt we will win more than one game in the Playoffs again.

If we win out, and show we can fight the run, win away, and beat physical teams, IMO, only means we'll make it to wherever San Fran faces us on the tourney bracket.
Suggestion...just beat who ever is on the field next!

This team is showing you the same things the teams from the past 30 years have shown you.

They’re soft and they shrink when it matters. If you punch them in the mouth you will dominate them and they will do nothing about it but whine after their beating.

I suggest letting them prove to you they’re different instead of just expecting them to be different.

They’ve been punched in the mouth 3 times just this year. They didn’t learn from the first 2 times, so why would any rational person think anything at all will be different the next time it happens?
Uh, change your stadium seat...I think there is a lot of crap accumulating there.

i want to see this team get up after a early punch in the mouth and fight back, seems to me that they get down early and give up and half *** their way to another loss

It's not in their nature. They're not conditioned to play that kind of football. They don't draft those kinds of players, and the Jones system doesn't make them that kind of player. It's why they've lost almost every key game for nearly 30 years.

Then why are they undefeated after a loss for over 2 years now?

When you think about the loses, who is to say the cowboys won't correct the mistakes and approach to certain teams before the playoffs?

I know some fans dont like the possibility of playing SF again, but that loss may be what was needed in order to get more intel, for a different approach, with a better chance to win.

DQ may slip up at times but i believe he has the potential to go into the playoff with a correction vs what happened in the regular season.

They could have also been keeping tabs on SF remaining games for more ideas of what they like to do vs other teams that we could see in the playoffs if that matchup happens.

Same could be done with philly and other possible teams we could face.

I also believe the offense will be more open in the playoffs. I felt in some of the games like Buffalo, the coaches didnt feel the need/importance to open the playbook in a game like that. I felt they where going to commit to getting by in that game showing less win or loss.

Had that been another NFC team then maybe a little more is shown.

I believe some things are going on that we do not understand. I am looking at things from an unconventional view. I believe the cowboys will go into the playoffs ready to compete.
I honestly agree. Of course, we all want homefield advantage. But if we have to play on the road, the losses we've endured this season could be a blessing in disguise.

hey man i'm simply pointing out that UT have been bringing it to Alabama for a while... we're just trying to stay current the texas longhorns did beat Alabama and are in the playoffs.. as well as both the, and PU are now going on to the SEC.. people calling the Dallas cowboys front like the big 12 vs the sec is fail to me.. lets keep college out of this please.. jeez it was a terrible analogy, and you know it...

i do agree that our defensive coordinator likes to use the nickel and dime along with man too much but what are we supposed to do?? i mean this sort is the new age defense for the new age offenses.

No, I came up when the Southwest Conference still had Arkansas, Rice, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. Ever play college football? I was at the Air Force Academy, who played Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl, without size exemptions other than the Air Force during Viet Nam...and then Texas A&I on a NAIA National Championship team as a linebacker.

If you don't want college comments...stay off my posts. I saw the transitions in both college and professional levels. I even understand implications of the grassy gnoll when Murchison was able to create the Cowboys in 1960.

I played with 7 A&I players who played in Pro Bowls after leaving Kingsville and playing in the NFL.

The joke was a Darrel Royal joke that was about Texas winning in the SWC. The Conference had 5 prominent and Nationally renowned coaches as well, then.

At the Academy, we beat Miami and Notre Dame as well as Colorado when they actually a National Powerhouse and not supporting Deion Sanders...

You have much more faith than me. This same story has been playing out forever now.

Dan Quinn has shown his defenses has no idea what to do against SF. A team we would have to beat in the playoffs. His defenses also coward up when it plays an offense with a pulse. His defenses also don't travel well on the road, which is a big problem.

Same thing about the offense. They have no idea how to beat SF the past years. Offense turns into junk against them.

I believe the Cowboys will be fine. Even if they don't beat the AFC Dolphins. We just need the Giants to beat the Eagles and our Cowboys have to win their last two games. Then we keep the 2-seed and play at home for one and most likely two rounds in the playoffs. We would only be on the road to play SF in the NFC championship game if we get that far.

Well, we all have a choice to make.
We can:
A. Hope “this year will be different”
B. Stop watching or find a different team
C. Have a defeatist attitude and tell everyone online “I told you so” if they lose
D. Keep rooting for them no matter what
Why is this a choice? A and D at least. I admit to a little C when we play on the road against goodo teams, without the "I told you so" part.

If we start the game with drive killing penalties, a turnover or a pick 6 or scoop and run pick 6 then we are doomed for the whole game. This team can't seem to come back from adversity. If this team gets down then it probably stays down. I wish I could say something different it really pains me to have to face reality in this regards. I grew up with Tom Landry's teams and I never thought we were out of a game. Never did I ever think the Cowboys didn't have a chance to come back and win. Sadly I don't feel good about the current team doing such things. If they get ahead they play better all game long but the opposite happens when they get down on points and things are going sideways for them. I wanna see grit, fight and a you ain't beating me mentality. I know a pipe dream. But SF looms large and softies won't prevail against such a juggernaut. Can't win in the tournament if you are mentality weak. Please don't think I am being negative here. I am calling out what I see and the above is all reality.
The Seattle game was the first time they've toughened up in a tough game in a while.

If Tyron Smith doesn't play this game gets even tougher to win.

The big picture is the Cowboys won’t get far playing on the road in the playoffs. Their point differential at home is the largest in franchise history but on the road this is a completely different team.
McCarthy and Dak go into panic mode on the road.

I fully expect the same Sunday evening.
