It doesn't, but a couple of TDs came on plays any QB should have been able to compete. The play-calls got the receivers wide open.Having Patrick Mahomes doesn't hurt, either.
We scored 40 vs Philly with Dak.It's impressive what the Chiefs did and did so by replacing one of the best WRs in the league. That was a masterful 2nd half of offensive play calling. The motion used and different looks really made this difficult for the Eagles today. I hope the Cowboys were watching and took note of some of these plays.
I'd say the Philly defense is the reason they lost. No pass rush and mahomes cut through them like butter. Didn't seem like the fumble made much difference as they were still up by 10 going to half. Can we be brutally honest? Hurts was why Philly lost. The self inflicted fumble was awful. Reid and Mahomes then do what they do AFTER THAT.
Andy Reid is just an offensive mastermind, the way he uses motion to get the DBs to "switch" which guy they are covering and then do an immediate reverse pattern with the same motion guy while the two DBs are still switching resulting in wide open TDs not once but twice!!!Coaching on offense matters. Anyone who watched what the Cheifs did tonight can see the night and day difference between that and whatever Kellen tries to do. You don't need a complicated offense just one that you run well and gets players open. You don't need elite weapons. Hopefully Big Mike took some notes tonight.
Well I somewhat agree but as has been said many times, alot worse QBs have won the Superbowl. So if you can't find someone like Mahomes (and Dak isn't even in the same universe), you have to build your team accordingly. Eagles were close. My takeaway is that you need elite QB play on the biggest stage. Dakota will never sniff that kind of play.
He’s more accurate with a way better arm than dak.Having Patrick Mahomes doesn't hurt, either.
In most cases it is very advantageous to have elite QB play. But Jalen Hurts is not elite, and the Chiefs were very fortunate to win that game. It can be done with a QB that isn't elite, you just have to build around your QBs strengths. Just like the Eagles did.My takeaway is that you need elite QB play on the biggest stage. Dakota will never sniff that kind of play.
Nah. Dak only accomplished what he did the year right after having his leg broken at a 90° angle pointing outwards from his lower leg and also suffering ligament damage and a compound fracture with a skin protruding bone where it was slim he would be able to continue playing football, much less be able to run or walk normal on his leg ever again.Dak ain’t doing what Mahomes did with one leg and pressure on him all day
True.Running QBs don't win super bowls.
Lol. "Coaching matters," then taking a shot at the coach who was second only to that team in production over 4 years with Dak freaking Prescott at QB.
That's why I think we need to add an offensive weapon like Abinikanda, a WR, and then go all defense in the draft. We scored 40 vs Philly with Dak.
IF, Dak can clean up some of his dumb throws we will have a shot if the D picks up a few key pieces!
Ah yes, 2021.Nah. Dak only accomplished what he did the year right after having his leg broken at a 90° angle pointing outwards from his lower leg and also suffering ligament damage and a compound fracture with a skin protruding bone where it was slim he would be able to continue playing football, much less be able to run or walk normal on his leg ever again.
Year. Team. YDS. TD. INT. Rating
2021. DAL. 4,449. 37. 10. 104.2
I truly wonder if Mahomes or any other QB would have been able to accomplish all Dak did less than a year right after suffering such a horrible and potentially career-ending injury.
Dak got injured early in the season and had no weapons or good coaching around him in 2022. The team overachieved, yet still ended up with back-to-back 12 - 5 seasons, finally won an away playoff game in 30 years and advanced further in the playoffs this year with much less than last year.Ah yes, 2021.
2021 mimicked 2022 in so many ways offensively.
This is the biggest take away, the way they replace Tyreek Hill vs the way we replaced Cooper:It's impressive what the Chiefs did and did so by replacing one of the best WRs in the league. That was a masterful 2nd half of offensive play calling. The motion used and different looks really made this difficult for the Eagles today. I hope the Cowboys were watching and took note of some of these plays.
well, we have those 4 WR 10 yard curls....hmmmm come on nowIt helps to have a coach who calls plays that are needed when they are needed. Kellen Moore calls plays like he his head up his butt.
