***The Bledsoe thread*** merged.

I knew before I logged on today that there would be some ridiculous "Bledsoe sucks" threads.

I promised myself I wouldn't post in them, ... I promised myself !!

But here I am.

If we made a list of things to fix this year, Bledsoe would be WAAAYYYY down on the list.

If we had had the brightest young star at QB this year, ... or Joe Montana, Dan Marino or Troy Aikman, we would still have had a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE O-Line, a weak running game, no WR's that scare anybody, poor safety play, no defensive pressure on the pocket, poor HC leadership.

Did I say a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE O-line.

Sure, Bledsoe did not play well last night, but who did ?

I am not a huge Bledsoe fan, I know he is not the future, and I would LOVE a better QB, but he has not been our problem this season.

I am just being fair about judging him.

After watching some of our performances this year, it amazes me that some always come back to Bledsoe, ... come back to one guy, and rip him apart.

If everyone played their position as well as Bledsoe did, we would be in the playoffs.

You know it's funny, history does have a way of repeating itself. Almost exactly to the day some fans on the Bills' forum were saying exactly the same thing about Drew and 2004.

Then let's can Bledsoe, put in a young, inexperienced QB, and hope to go 4-12 or 5-11 next season.

Can't wait for that.

Fix the O-line first dude, and then see what Bledsoe can do with a running game and maybe some time to find a receiver, .. that is if they can get open.

Juke said it best in another thread... we folded like a "cheap suit".

Bledsoe... the defense... all sucked.

A choke job of epic proportions after a very good 7-3 start.
I'm not buying choke job. Flo got hurt, the OT's got exposed, we started playing playoff teams........it all added up.

That worked for the Giants, they went 6-10 last year now have their QB of the future. Someday we have to play a young inexperienced QB and take our lumps...Or keep on bringing in experienced rejects from other teams.

First, Bledsoe is not a reject. The Pats let him go because they have Brady, nuff said.

The Bills made a mistake letting him go.

Would you have wanted to put a young, inexperienced QB in our porous pocket this season, with our weak running game ?

That would have been ugly.

We have a lot to fix before we can even think about letting a young QB in there to see what he can do.

When we fix our O-line, get some WR's that can get open, and find a running game, (or just fix the O-line) I would love to see what our young QB's can do.

There should be a "Petitti and Tucker" merged thread? Our Oline play last night was horiffic. Defenders routinely breaking in untouched is rediculous. How Drew played 16 games and had us in the playoff hunt 7:00 Sunday is beyond me.

I'd bring Bledsoe back and seriously relook at line and coaches right up to Payton and including oline coach.

Agreed and agreed but would look at Payton along with the rest of the coaches.

I usually don't agree with you 100%, but this was perfect.

We need to reevaluate everything on offense. But QB is far down that list.
