I hope the "boys" are practicing for lots of up the middle blitz's. The Giants have watched the Eagles game film and will attempt the same amount of pressure on our QB. If we don't give Bledsoe time to throw, we will lose this game. Keys to the game are the performance of our center and guards.

This is a big game!!! Go Boys.

If that is the case then this is the week that a team pays for the blitz.

I don't understand why people automatically assume that Dallas will not attempt to make an adjustments to stop the middle blitz and somehow it is now the recipe for beating the team.

Its as if opposing defense will adjust to attack that area but dallas will not adjust to protect that area.......doesn't make much sense if you ask me.

Because we didn't make any adjustments against Philly. Unless you count sending the runningback in motion and leaving Bledsoe back there alone like a sitting duck.

That philly game was a horrible example of poor coaching, and poor adjustments made during the game. All that pressure Philly was getting, and only one screen pass??? Unforgiveable. And that one screen pass went for like 30 yards, yet we never attempted it again. Makes zero sense.

The Cowboys are 32nd in the league in pass completions to running backs. Dead last. Even Atlanta, a team for whom it's pointless because they basically have a RB at QB, completes more passes to its RB's than we do.

so because they didn't adjust in one game means they won't adjust over a period of weeks?.......

Maybe because we never have? It doesn't make sense to me that we DON'T make those adjustments.

Well I just hope the coaching shows up, agree with other poster we got outcoached in Phily, funny the shotgun reappeared last week, guess we learned how to snap it and you know what it seemed to work, if we can't make it work it will be a long season. I think we got to have more of the kind of plays we ran like the TO in motion play on the goal line, to me that was the opposite of the crappy stuff we did in Phily. I mean you got to put TO in motion alot to keep the doubles from taking him out of the game..

Last week was the first week they got any pressure whatsoever. In fact people in NY were whining that Strahan didn't have a sack until week 4.

I don't think the blitz is coming as severely as it was in the Eagles game. The Giants secondary is terrible and they definitely don't trust them to hold coverage like the Eagles were able to do. They will however, still be able to get pressure where the Defensive Line rotation they have.

We ran shotgun on one play that I recall from last week and ended up getting a hold on Gurode because the defender blew right by him and he held him just to keep Drew from dying. I think a couple people on here were saying Gurode struggled with shotgun and it showed on that play..
