Visit the NY Post for some great articles ripping O'Dell and his 28 yards receiving. The now famous boat trip is the new Cabo.
It created a distraction. What happened on the boat trip itself is pretty irrelevant. They could have sat around and sang folk songs and it still would have been blown up. The posing for pictures and plastering it on social media was the big issue.
Okay, have the cold then.I think that frigid GB cold was more of a distraction than the ballyhoo over the boat trip. It obviously affected the NY receivers far more than it did the GB receivers. The physical tolerance to extreme levels of cold can be pretty overwhelming to those not fully accustomed to that level of frigidity. Anyhow, NY lost and lame excuses can't change it. Looks like we'll be left to tame GB (if we can.)
It was the same temperature on the other sideline as well. Both teams play in cold weather stadiums.I think that frigid GB cold was more of a distraction than the ballyhoo over the boat trip. The trip shows a disturbing lack of professionalism on the part of the attendees. Sent a message that they weren't serious about preparing for GB. Took their focus off football and meant that they missed a couple of days recuperation between games - late nights, parties, travel all tire people out.
Coming out shirtless compounded the mistake. Great macho stuff showing you can warm up without shirts. But, is this the reason they started the game stiff and cold?
