Our defense has pretty much sucked since going to the 3-4.

Good 3-4 defenses put a premium on the NT position.

Pats got Wilfork.

Ravens got Nagoti.

Chargers got Jamal Williams.

Steelers got Casey Hampton.

Meanwhile, we have a 3-4 DE trying to slug it out against double teams. He plays hard and shoots a gap once in awhile but it just often seems as though the whole front is being driven back. We need someone stouter upfront. Then we can move Ratliff to end where he belongs.

Dallas gets caught reading their press clippings sometimes. It happens in the NFL.

Any of you fools that bet the house on this one deserved what you got. Rivalry games are always hard to predict.

I am not convinced Stewart knows which end is up sometimes, but that's JMO.

I don't like Stewart very much. Three straight games we've started playing the other team's wide receivers 10 yards off. What's the point of playing scared and still giving up big plays?

The only thing I think the media has right about these Cowboys is they aren't mentally tough, coaching wise, and player wise, except for a few.

He is good at shooting gaps and a good pass rusher.

His flaws haven't yet been exposed much this year because noone really tried to run against us until today.

Ratliff is okay at NT but is better suited to be a 4-3 DT or a 3-4 end. It is nothing against him - he just doesn't have the body type to properly clog up the middle. Think of guys like Pat Williams, Vince Wilfork, Casey Hampton - then look at Ratliff. Not the same type of body. He can't regularly stand up double teams which an NT has to do even if Wade says it is not a priority in his scheme.

Just watch the Giants gash us and then you'll believe me. That is a team that will stay committed to the running game if they can.

Williams outweighs Ratliff by about 50 pounds. You don't really believe Ratliff weighs 350? He would be about as big as Flo and Bigg - those guys dwarf him, IMO.

i just think this defense is overated cant stop the run cant stop the pass maybe we just got to blitz more on 1st down to put the offense on 2nd and long we just got to be more aggressive.

Also, a big big chunk of the blame has to go on Jason Garrett and his inability to slow the game down and run the ball.

Nah, Williams is a monster.

I'd trade a 2nd rounder straight up for him. Heck make that a 2nd and a 3rd.

Tank sucks Spears sucks Canty sucks we need to overhaul the who D Line Bowen sucks also. I say we switch to a base 4-3 and play a 2 deep man scheme.

I hate to agree, but we need more from Tank and Spears. At least Canty had a sack today, but he has been sorta invisible thus far this season.

SOFT. Wade is soft, and the team is mentally soft for sure. There was Romo on the bench again today after another horrible pick hanging his head like an 8th grader. It gets old......don't make such dumb decisions Tony and you won't have to go through the roller coaster.
