I am not of the mindset that fumbles by the qb in the pocket are his fault.

That is just me though. I didn't hold it against Romo or anyone else in the league and I don't hold it against Dak. Some really boil my blood though. The qb sneak fumble definitely.

The silly tap the ball out and pick it up are just flukey plays. Get strip sacked when non one is open and you are trying to make a play....i can't blame the qb.
That’s fair but I absolutely disagree not putting blame on the QB for fumbling (in most cases).

Hes doing ok so far. The defense is the main reason this team wins games. At least Jerry got cooper for him.

yah right. So every drive ends in a TD? Get outta here. YOu could realistically say 10 points maybe. Add back 6 points on the missed FG and then the botched snap that killed the game winning FG before OT.

How many more points does Dak have were it not for the multitude of penalties on the Oline. Smith with 3 all by himself. If Gallup doenst slow his route on that one bomb thats another 7 points.
They were picks. One in the end zone and one in the red zone..... take a pill......

He's gotten better, but he has to do a better job protecting the ball. Two bad INT's yesterday and a lost fumble. Those turnovers are the only reason that we didn't blow the Eagles out of the building.
I agree. The fumbles need to stop. But in terms of yesterday’s interceptions, I think the one targeted to Cooper was an aggressive mistake capitalized by the DB making a good play. The one to Gallup was a bad throw.

No..........the 2nd pick was on the opposite side of the field. Philly got the ball back on like the 3 yardline. Its how they got their first TD.

Ken, can you breakdown the two interceptions yesterday and tell us all about how they weren't Dak's fault?

It's pretty simple - you have four or five 300 pound grown men running 4.8 40 yard dashes coming at you full speed... People seem to forget that.

They were both his fault. The first one was a great play by the defender more than anything. The second one was egregious and totally on Dak.

What about the fumble, and the two easy touchdowns to Gallup that would have iced the game. Can you explain the last TD to Cooper?

Dak was really bad, and pretty good yesterday at the same time. That will beat crappy teams.

This team is having to win in spite of him too often.

Those two picks essentially cost us 14 points, which is why we had to luck out a win thanks to the refs and thanks to winning the coin toss instead of cruising to victory. That wasn’t a great performance by Dak yesterday. It was a Jekyll and Hyde performance where 3 turnovers should have been 5 or 6; but some great throws and some grit still were good enough to win. There was a lot of good from Dak yesterday, but a lot of bad as well. Luckily for us Philly’s secondary is wrecked and they couldn’t take full advantage of Dak’s mistakes. If he makes those same kind of mistakes in a playoff game rest assured it won’t be a victory. He’s got to clean that stuff up particularly the fumbles.

The Cowboys went almost 6 full quarters in a row without scoring a touchdown the past two games.

That's.....problematic.

The last td to Cooper worked out just fine, i would say?

Cb made a good play to tip the ball and it landed in Cooper's hands. If it didn't, it was inc.

1 of the throws was overthrown by Dak and the other Gallup stopped inexplicably on. Now...in fairness...not sure it was a great throw because it landed just out of bounds but it was certainly catchable.

It was an incredible performance. The fact that he played so poorly early made it even more miraculous. Shows his character, poise, confidence and leadership.

But you would never see that if you have blinders on.

Fumbles dont happen with a clean pocket. Yet I dont hear you cutting up the Oline? Your agenda is way too obvious.

That first INT was a good play by the defense. The corner dropped in the zone and made a play which happens to every QB. The other turnovers were bad.

I thought many fans were saying a few weeks ago they were ok with a few more turnovers if Fak throws for 300-400 yards and were more aggressive. Now fans are complaining since they can’t complain about throwing for only 200 yards.
I'll go back and look, but it looked to me like the pass was underthrown and a little late to Cooper. I'm not ok with red zone INT's and I'm not ok with INT's in our end of the field. Overall, he is playing at a much higher level than he was early in the season, but he still has some things to clean up.

You mean in order to be perfect? Hilarious.
never said he has to be perfect. But that overthrow to Gallup that got picked was ATROCIOUS. That should have been an easy completion, but instead it turned into a 1 yd TD drive for the Eagles.

Aside from Dak missing easy plays, which is incredibly frustrating, a big part of the issue is playcalling imo.

We should scrap our current red zone approach entirely and run the ball more with more playaction and get the pocket moving. More RPO's.

We can't beat people 1 on 1 with our current personnel down there, so we have to either brute force it in or trick them a bit.

Yea, it is not all Dak's fault, our offensive coaches and scheme leave a lot to be desired. I do think Dak can be better utilized with a system catered to him.

But, I do stand firm that Dak will not take this team where it needs to go under the current conditions. If nothing changes in the offseason, then I expect more of the same......Dak plays great at times, stinks at times with a lot of mediocre mixed in.

We need a new offensive philosophy and a new OC at the very least. Use Dak's strengths with the things you suggested. He will never be a true pocket passer IMO.

Of course it gets forgiven. When you tuck that bad play in your back pocket and win the game in the clutch it all gets forgiven. Trolls like you dont like it because he just pissed in your soup. LOL

Everyone else is jumping for joy.

Time to go like the Patriots troll. FYI........Brady lost yesterday.

Dude, are you mental?? Just because I don't think Dak is a STUD, I am a troll>? that's just plain stupid but I shouldn't be surprised coming from the likes of you. If you want to kiss Dak's feet, go ahead, no one is stopping you. But when he plays like crap for 3 Q, it does not get forgiven by me. I am sorry if my high standards are to much for you to handle. Dak is our Qb, he is going to be our QB, so we have to deal with that. If Dak would play decent for all 4 Q, this team could be special. Play like he did yesterday for 3 Q in the playoffs and we might as well not even go. I have been a Cowboys fan for over 40 years, seen the greats and the duds and stuck by this team through thick and thin. I don't need someone the likes of you to tell me to go route for another team. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I know you don't have any shame at all. So just keep being you and making an complete joke of yourself with your idiotic posts.

He was no bus driver this past Sunday, that's for sure. Cooper has opened up the offence. Zeke has become a beast since Cooper's arrival, and we have been doing this with a banged up o-line.
