Of course it doesn't explain why Barber, when not healthy, gets twice as many carries as Choice.
I believe that is Garrett's way of trying not to be as predicable in his pass-play calling. He wants to sell the run as much as possible when he's wanting to pass. Just my two cents though.

We can hope that the Saints have #1 seed wrapped up by Week 15 and are coasting.

Because Barber is the better pass protector and if we switch them out on situational downs the D knows what to expect. Of course you have to factor in how much TR audibles into a run play from a called pass play.

Then why were they running the exact sample plays? And why was Choice in for only two carries the entire 1st half?

And while Felix I know is bad but I have yet to hear from any source that Choice was struggling in pass protection, either last year when he was starting or at any point this season.

Does anyone have a link to someone saying Choice is not doing well in pass blocking?

thats exactly why, but i also mentioned in an earlier post that we don't know how many times TR audibles from a pass to a run.

man, I like that play. Brees repositions Bush and then play actions to him which fools the guy covering Colston thus leaving Colston wide open...

Read the Bob Sturm Blog he points out Choice's crappy pass blocking in the KC game.

Actually, it isn't Sturm that points it out. It's his intern. And he points out ONE PLAY. The intern also spends a considerable amount of space in the article dumbfounded at the fact that Barber was playing instead of Choice.

Well if he actually broke down an entire game play by play you would see it. He broke down key plays which affect momentum shifts, etc.

Stroughter was a guy I liked where they got Manny Johnson.

No, he just broke down every single play of a SINGLE drive.

Incidentally, it was a single drive where both Barber and Choice played. So, apparently you can switch them in and out during a single drive based on particular plays.
