If that's the case... Then imo he tweaked the back and it's more than a bruise.

If it's a deep bruise than can have him ready, and there is no reason why he shouldn't star against AZ. Sitting him out to be precautionary until after the bye week could be trouble. A Rusty Romo in NY is no good.

Yesterday you seemed unconcerned saying it was "just" a bruise like you examined him. Now that it's being reported he may miss a couple of games you think he may have tweaked it. The fact is none of us know the exact extent of his injury we can only go by what's reported by the team and the actions they take. If the Cowboys are going to rest Romo for 2 games you would think it would be Sundays game vs AZ and the following week vs JAX giving him the bye week to further heal. Yes he probably would be rusty heading into NY but if he's not healthy he may be lost for the season before the Cowboys ever face the Giants.

If Romo isn't healthy the Cowboys are going to be very reluctant to have him face the Cardinals blitz it could lead to disaster. If Romo does miss the next 2 games the Cowboys will hope for a split figuring they should be able to beat JAX with Weeden. My feeling is if all he needs is a couple of weeks rest sit him for JAX giving him the bye week that way he only misses one game. If the Cowboys are going to sit him for a couple of games it has to start this Sunday because they certainly aren't going to sit him for the Giants and Philly game.

I don't think the Jax game is a given. They're awful but so are the Commanders.

If Tony can play he should. No matter the opponent.
