The case for Mike McCoy as OC

I think Mike McCoy should be the new offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys as we need new ideas on offense. Mike McCoy is currently the QB Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was previously the OC in Denver from 2009 - 2012, HC in San Diego from 2013-2016, and is currently in Jacksonville.

He specialises in QBs. I think that he would be in position to present new ideas to the Cowboys to move us away from the Jason Garrett era. He's from the Bill Wash tree (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Walsh_(American_football_coach), as is Mike McCarthy. I think that he'd fit us well, and I think that he can fix Dak, just as he helped turn Trevor Lawrence around.

can he take dak and run rollouts and pa bootlegs until the defensive ends starts playing contain then drop him back in the pocket giving him plenty of time or run a draw play to take advantage of the d ends playing contain?

I'd imagine so. He did well with Lawrence this year, and I think he'd do more with Dak.

I’m for anything that brings a more modern offense that can be successful in the playoffs. This one has failed miserably in the playoffs under both Romo and Dak.

I love it. His offenses for the Chargers were always near the top of the league in 3rd down conversions. I envied that at the time. He would be a great pickup.
