the case for one RB

I think this triple headed RB attack is not working for multiple reasons and its not just that our OL maybe not good at run blocking. Rbs need a few carries to get into a groove, establish rythim and so do the OL men. they need to establish rythm with the RB. get a feel for how he runs, where he runs, etc.

we have three RBs and we are trying to appease them and give each some carries. I think 3 is way too many. not enough for them to establish rythm. not enough to get a feel for the game.

I am not a huge Felix Jones fans, despite the talent. he is flashy, but I have yet to see him win a game because he was the big factor in the game. he has had some spactacular runs, but mostly in games where the offense has played great in general.

but with that said, he is a first round RUNNING BACK, so quit protecting him. use his arse and lets find out for once and all what we got. call the contract to barber a mistake and move forward.

lets make Felix the starter. give him most of the carries. get him the ball 20 times a game and let see what we got. but I have read and heard the team is afraid that felix might get injured if he runs too much between the tackles....so I buy a ferrari, put it in the garage and drive my toyota to work....***!!!

or make barber the starter, get him 20 carries and use felix in a hybrid mode like Reggie bush and admit that he is not an every down back.

forget about choice.....let him sit and complain and lets find out what we got.

but this three headed monster is more like a three headed ant that gets crushed too easily. ......

First off, no lets not forget about Choice, he is the best RB on this roster, period!

I agree with you on Felix, the first time they give him that rock 20-25 times a game he will not be able to play the next week, of he will get injured in that game.

Irvin is convinced Dallas needs to make Felix the featured back and get 15 carries a game. But Dallas cant keep playing from behind.

:hammer: Enough with this this sharing carries crap. Pick one and move forward. Three is definitely too much.

I really don't think you need a three headed monster at RB in Garrett's offense. But I think we keep all three this year unless one could be traded for the right price. Assuming we're still in Garrett's offense next year, they need to get rid of Barber's big contract and play Felix and Choice.

I'm not happy about the three back rotation either... They need to settle on ONE running back and allow him to get into a groove.

The Boys need to decide on which 2 RB's they want to keep and trade the other for a draft pick or another position we need some depth (umm maybe OL). We need to do it sooner than later, the longer we wait the less value these backs have. Then define the RB's role, so they know and the line knows what to expect. They need some continuity find an identity on offense.

It's hard to believe over the first two games that this is the offense that Garrett was trying to hide during the "vanilla pre-season". What the hell was he trying to hide?

As long as Jerry is writing the checks, Barber will start and get the most carries. He has the highest salary, so Jerry is going to get his money's worth. Next is Felix and, as you have noticed, Choice may get a couple of plays per game.

Same with WR, Roy makes the most money, thus he will start, and get plenty of playing time, next is Austin, and Dez will be the third WR. Spears is far superior to Hatcher, but since Hatcher makes more money than Spears, he will have to share snaps. If Barron was making more money than Colombo, he would be playing ahead of him.

That's the way it is with Jerry.

If Garrett had this position back in the 90's history would reflect zero rings for the Cowboys, the niners would have had them instead. Mr. Ivy league would have rotated that Smith guy the same way he is doing Jones today.

MBIII an RW's are the first two cut or traded next off season

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, every bit of reason in me tells me you are 100% wrong, but everything I actually see from this team says you are right.

I have stated this before and again yesterday but going a little further I will tell you the RB of their future is probably not even on the Roster. They need to Draft a stud RB and move both Felix Jones and Marion Barber next off-season. Neither is the answer for the Cowboys. They need to keep Tashard Choiuce as the backup because he is the most well rounded of all three. They need to look for a Javid Best type back in the Draft. Someone that can run up the gut, outside and recive out of the backfield.

How about we draft an O-lineman or two instead.

You may be right, because Barber is definitely not the answer, but I think you at least need to give Jones a chance before you rule it out.

Exactly, that is the biggest thing the Cowboys can do to help out their RB's (and QB too).

I was saying that Barber should have been traded before the season got started, but he is running quite well. Most of his bad runs are squarely on the Oline. Barber is running like a madman out there and he hasn't been *****footing around out there like when he tries to run around people instead of through them. As a matter of fact, I am not so sure that Choice is better than him after all. Barber has shown a good burst and he is definitely the best blocker out there as far as the RBs are concerned. Now with that said I think Dallas needs a two headed monster attack and not a 3 headed one. The two RBs that Dallas keeps should get 15 touches each so both can get into a groove. Now Jones should definitely get his 15 touches, but the staff needs to decide who is better between Choice and Barber and trade the lesser player away. The gameplan should be to give Jones 15 rushes and Barber/Choice 15 touches and two throw the ball about 30 times. A more balanced approach would yield much better results but the Garrett needs to get that through his head.

And Tashard Choice is the RB to be that.

He is more complete than Felix and MB3.

Barber doesn't need to be traded. Barber just needs to keep getting fed the rock.

When he gets in a rhythm he moves the offense. He was breaking runs early in the game against the bears. What happens? Jason Garrett takes him out and puts in Felix Jones then the drive stalls. This three headed running attack is just wasting these running backs.

I totally agree with this idea.

Hey, the way we are going now we will be in a position to draft Emmitt 2.0.

The guy is an absolute STUD!!
