When he gets in a rhythm he moves the offense. He was breaking runs early in the game against the bears. What happens? Jason Garrett takes him out and puts in Felix Jones then the drive stalls. This three headed running attack is just wasting these running backs.

This guy is a tough inside runner; he runs hard. He led the Cowboys in yards after contact (per carry). However, the goal isn't to pound him inside like a jackhammer. That would be stupid. Jones is too explosive for that. You want him stretching the defense on both edges and using his speed and power, inside and outside.
This guy in a zone blocking scheme would be deadly, because that blocking scheme stretches the defense laterally and gives you a cutback lane. Jones could make one cut and pick a running lane and hit it hard. Furthermore, his speed and quickness and elusiveness would put enormous pressure on the defense, because they would have to choose which way they are going to cheat. Do I cheat over to pursue Jones to the open running lane, or do I cheat the backside cut-back lane?
If you get this guy the football in some space or give him a running lane or a cutback lane, he will destroy teams.
I bet the Commanders would like to have him.
If Felix Jones doesn't rush for 1200-1400 yards, this team is going no where. You can all print that in big, black letters.

Rbs need a few carries to get into a groove, establish rythim and so do the OL men. they need to establish rythm with the RB. get a feel for how he runs, where he runs, etc.
we have three RBs and we are trying to appease them and give each some carries. I think 3 is way too many. not enough for them to establish rythm. not enough to get a feel for the game.
I am not a huge Felix Jones fans, despite the talent. he is flashy, but I have yet to see him win a game because he was the big factor in the game. he has had some spactacular runs, but mostly in games where the offense has played great in general.
but with that said, he is a first round RUNNING BACK, so quit protecting him. use his arse and lets find out for once and all what we got. call the contract to barber a mistake and move forward.
lets make Felix the starter. give him most of the carries. get him the ball 20 times a game and let see what we got. but I have read and heard the team is afraid that felix might get injured if he runs too much between the tackles....so I buy a ferrari, put it in the garage and drive my toyota to work....***!!!
or make barber the starter, get him 20 carries and use felix in a hybrid mode like Reggie bush and admit that he is not an every down back.
forget about choice.....let him sit and complain and lets find out what we got.
but this three headed monster is more like a three headed ant that gets crushed too easily. ......
