Witten can't play forever...plus I'd take OJ and Njoku over Brice Butler in 4 wide packages any day. Not being an immediate day 1 starter is a poor excuse to not draft a superior prospect anyway, that's how you reach for a bust

True but the longer you wait to get defensive players the longer Dallas isnt a contender. Defensive guys seem to take more time to adjust they need to start getting a lot of them.

I know..

I know..

Defense.

But several things say offense to me.

We all know the NFC East is going to be a dogfight in 2017.

We are not going to be able to rebuild this defense and upgrade enough after losing 4 more starters.

At 28..we will not get a bone fide pass rushing essential.

My gut tells me we need to solidify the holes on offense to score more points than last year.

Produce more big plays in the passing game to match the Jints and Iggles and their improvements.

The draft is deep in DL and secondary candidates we can take in the 2nd rd. on.

I think all this talk of defense is just a smokescreen.

Like last year..everybody was saying draft a QB #1 to find Romo's backup and we drafted Zeke..nobody saw that coming really.

Dallas never showed their hand.

Lucky for us.

I would like to see us draft another pass catching TE to run 2 TE sets from or a speed burner WR opposite Dez to spread the field.

Opinions?
Case: BPA

Example: LeSean McCoy

Year: 2009

The Cowboys had McCoy rated as a 1st rounder. They passed on him in the 2nd and instead traded down because they had Felix and Barber.
