The Charger have that "look" about them don't they?

If we're throwing out dream scenarios, I wouldn't mind knocking off an 18-0 Indy, either.

you don't like their chances to represent the AFC Adam?

I'm guessing he's saying the opposite.
Personally, I think it's them or Indy in the AFC, and my money's on them.

That defense is to finesse.

When it comes to playoff football you take Physical over finesse all day on both sides of the ball.

At some point you have to impose your will and the finesse team always struggles when that happens.

I thought he was being sarcastic...maybe I am just dumb

Adam's made the case that being able to run the ball or stop the run doesn't actually win games many times on this board. I think he's being sincere, though that doesn't mean he likes the Chargers particularly.

I was really impressed with SD last week. They were the first team this year I thought was clearly better than we were, at our house. I wouldn't have high expectations for a rematch on neutral field.

I like our chances in a rematch because the Cowboys are literally improving by the week. Even in the losses, I saw some good signs.

You are probably right then, I haven't seen him mention that before. As far as SD is concerned, I thought we played them fairly well but I thought we beat ourselves more than anything...They had opportunity after opportunity to finish us off and kept us in the game...Ultimately they did beat us, but I expect us to play better the next time around..If there is a next time.

Exactly... which is the exact reason that they could not get by the Steelers last season, and why they lost to to Ravens at HOME this season. They are not a physical team in the least, and they are lining up to meet a bunch of physical teams just to make it to Indy... i.e. Cincy, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, NY Jets, Jacksonville, or Miami... all of those teams can "out physical" San Diego... their worst nightmare might just be for Baltimore or Miami to come to town in the Divisional round....

They have a terrible running game and one of the worst run defenses.

And someday, people will realize that those things don't matter very much.

Interesting that you mention this Adam, if those things do not matter, what does matter? Most peoples idea (whether right or wrong) of a winning brand of football is being able to run the ball and stop the run...

I think Catch was referring to the Colts defense being finesse, not certain though.

its a passing league.

if you stop the pass you can win ballgames. if you cant stop the pass you wont win.

san fransisco has an incredible run defense....

so what they suck.

they have an incredible run offense too.

so what they suck.

if you cant pass the ball and cant defend the pass in todays NFL you are a .500 team or a sub par team. that is all.

I was.

The only team I think the Chargers should be worried about is if Tennessee sneaks in.

That team is red hot.

What is your opinion on how does Dallas matches up with the Chargers?

You think that the Chargers defense is not finesse? They define finesse more that our defense does... And they are a finesse offense that relies on big plays from the passing game. They (more than any other team in the AFC playoff race) lack the ability to grind out a game when the big plays are not being made. They are the AFC equivalent of the Eagles. They are great when the big plays are there. When the big plays are not there, they have no where else to turn...

I think its pretty even.

I actually think they are our AFC counterparts.

You won't have to wonder about that happening... they play on Christmas day... and their playoff chances are very slim at this point with 7 conference losses...
