The Clowns are on the clock!!

I'm glad. Better him than Gaines Adams or some other excellent pass rusher.

Adding even a very good safety won't help that team much.

I have a new hated player.
the only thing good about this player is his last name!

(I know, but I gotta get started early)

Let's hope they get some of that LSU jinx that we have been suffering from

There are a lot of unhappy campers over at ES. I can understand being upset as bad as their defensive line is. They are gonna be faced with the same problem as last year having to cover for 10 secs because they have no pass rush. and having to play the cover 2 run support. The good news - THERE DAY IS OVER!

haha a lot of idiot skins fans are actually pissed at the pick HAHA
I don't blame them. Alot of them wanted D-line help. Okoye was the favorite.

yea but u gotta take the best player available and its at a position that they needed to improve anyways

well, not really a fan of drafting a player with the last name of Landry, but I like him as a prospect.

Then again, we could have pretty much done anything here with this pick, and it would have been productive, because we had so many options.

That is true. Best player + need. Good position to be in.

You can get outta here now, your day is OVER!! Go fishing like they said...see if you can catch a pass rush, because no matter how good Landry is, he will get exposed big time....

:laugh2: :laugh2: Good job, Gibbs!!

Landry is a good player but that isn't what those BUMS needed. They have absolutely NO PASS RUSH and they SUCK against the run.. Landry will be making tackles 12yrds down field.. How does that help them?

Landry is a ridiculous pick. They screwed it up. How in the world is he gonna help a team that you can run on, and who had 19 sacks in a whole season?

Gibbs is Dumb, Snyder is Dumber

Landry is a really good player, but they should have gone DL...

Good question. Maybe they can adress that in round 2, 3 or 4. Oh wait....:lmao:

Ok then, tell me what we were supposed to do. What defensive lineman was there to take at our pick? Every D-lineman at that position would be somewhat of a stretch.

Then comes in a trade. The major team looking for a trade was Miami. With both Peterson or Quinn on the board, they knew that the value of the trade wasn't that high, and worth offering a lot. The value of the trade wasn't enough, so they stayed put.

So in comes Landry. I would much rather pick BPA then having to pick a stretch just to fill a whole.

And tell me, when GW was producing top 10 defenses a couple years ago, can name any of our "top" lineman? We produced a great defense without top lineman before. I have faith in GW that he will be able to turn this defense around with the help of some healthy players.

Willis? Front 7 player at least. Tough position really. I wonder if they had any serious trade offers. That would have been the best option.

You just ruined my day....

In all seriousness, you got yourselves a heckuva player. You're going to have a ton of versatility in your secondary.

Yes, you still need a DL...but as you said, "Who was there?" It's unfortunate for you all that your owner is not too bright. Instead of being able to try to be in position to couple Landry with a guy like Spencer, you can't.

That's why it's so important to not trade away so many picks.

I think the ideal option here was to trade down. But with AP and BC still on the board, I just dont think the offers were great enough for a move from 6 to 9, or other move.

While a dlineman would have been a nice addition to a depleted line, I would much rather draft BPA then stretch for someone, thats how busts happen.

Exactly. Just look at how many holes we need to fill, and how we will actually be able to fill. hopefully this will serve as a lesson for our front office, but im not holding my breath
