Looks pretty good accept Tebow will not be available to McDaniels. The Jets will fire Ryan and hire Tebow as HC.

I really wish more people would realize all of this.

Our D has been getting us beat for years, and if we lose tonight will be the reason why we lose.

We just have to find a way to create more turnovers, even when healthy we didn't produce them. People hate the 3 man rush with a zone behind it, but it does produce INTs for some teams, just not us.

Some will blame the injures, but guess what, we weren't producing turnovers before the injuries cause teams just have too big of windows to throw in when facing this defense. You have seen average QBs pick us apart, even with 2 double digit sackers, and it is cause these windows are too large.

It's why we can't beat the really good teams. The problem was made worse in the beginning of the year when we were turning the ball over offensively, too. That's been corrected, but we still can't take it away. It's perplexing, but it's a much bigger deal than the OL/play calling complaints we usually hear.

The obvious ways to address it are upgrading S, playing more zone, interior blitzes, and another pass rusher. I really thought we'd see better S play and more inside blitzing this season, but the injuries made that tough to do.

I think they said today piloi is safe and is going to hire ferentz.

Schwantz...Lions (my surprise fired guy)
Ryan...Jets

Mularky...Jaguars

I think

Browns fire Shurmur
Chargers fire Turner
Eagles fire Reid
Chiefs fire Crennell
Bills fire Chan Gailey

I think

Mularky keeps his job for another season
Whisenhut keeps his job for another season
Ryan keeps his job for another season
Schwartz keeps his job for another season

You are entitled to any opinion of him you like but it doesn't match the evidence in Houston.

They let guys walk off that defense and replaced them with some very young draft picks.

Yes they have 80 year old Bradie James but they are by and large a very young defense.

What young players did he hold back here in Dallas?

Wade has issues as a Head Coach but he loves talent and plays talent regardless of age. His rookie 4th rounder plays tons of snaps and his 1st rounder is starting. If Brooks Reed and Brian Cushing were healthy he'd look a lot smarter as DC.

Didn't mean he necessarily holds young players back but just leans more to vets, I could be off base with that impression.
Bradie James is a good example though. Why him and not Ernie Sims? They both play MLB and I think it's safe to say Sims was available at the time and he's a much better athlete.
He also has Alan Ball starting at CB. I'm surprised he didn't grab Kieth Brookings when he was released.

I assume you meant to say Rob Ryan. He should get some heat for some of his coaching decisions. Rushing three men and playing scared has hurt the defense. It can't be blamed on injuries. He was outcoached in the Seahawks game when everyone was healthy. Even "stupid" fans would have put more pressure on a rookie QB. He has earned the heat that he feels.

rofl... thanks for providing the fan example for me.

Seattle is undefeated at home for a reason. They didn't just outcoach us, they outplayed us. Because they are better... especially at home.

All coaches are open to critique and criticism.

The "rookie" QB only threw 20 passes, completing 15 for a mere 150 yards passing. That was hardly why we lost the game. Good try tho holmes.

You might want to look up the game and the 2 first quarter special teams gaffes.

Ball is not starting at CB. He has had to play there due to injuries but was inactive today.

Who knows on Bradie James but Ernie Sims was out there for 30+ teams and no one called him in.

Again, the Texans have far more young D talent than we do and play them.

I am not a holmes nor do I want to be.
I used the Seahawks game as an example. This was a problem last year in the Eagles games as well. There has been many games that he has rushed three and played a zone defense with QBs that picked him apart. I am not impressed with him in the least. The Saints was the most recent screw-up. Take a look at the Cowboy defensive numbers.

Personally, I think Ryan is part of the problem but I'm sure he'll be back.
I'm sure we'll go heavy on D in the draft and again in FA this offseason.
He gets a full season out of Carter, Lee, Ware, Spencer, Carr and a new S and DL and still can't create more pressure and TOs....it'll be time to move on.

I'm hoping beyond all hope that we hire Norv Turner as our OC for next season. Please, please, please.

Peter King just disputed this.

Interesting.

Personally I think anyone who hires Romeo crenel to be the head coach should be fired.

He didn't say Pioli was gone he just disputed the report that said he was safe and Ferentz would be the hire.
