The gameplan today of both sides of the ball was plain jane vanilla. They didn't move TO around at all and they didn't stunt or blitz much either. I put this game squarely on the coaches. Just like the skins game they were outcoached by being totally caught offguard by a team coming out and doing the exact opposite of what they do every week. It was obvious they were prepared for nothing but passes and felt they didn't need to blitz to get pressure. They played off in soft zones, got no pressure, and it killed them all day. They also were not prepared on offense. I think when the coaches let up with the gameplan, the players feel it and they let up as well. I think the dangerous game the coaches are playing is that they are trying to pick games they think will be easy games and not show alot during those games. I think they want other teams to not see the same things on the gamefilm from week to week and thus have a harder time preparing. I almost bit them in the *** today and they need to stop it and just go all out each week.

Sometimes I wonder if perhaps the coaching staff is preparing ahead now for the playoffs and adding some surprises/wrinkles to be saved for the playoffs ONLY.

You were 11-1 going into today...why show the enemy more then they need to see going into the playoffs?

Jason Garrett is no dummy. He's the best offensive gameplanner in the NFL IMO. Phillips is no slouch either. I wouldn't worry about your coaching when it comes to preparation for the big games. Just look at how you performed against GB and the Giants.

What happen after the Commanders game, we beat NYJ and GB to a pulp. Games like this happen. Now if it happens 2 or 3 weeks in a row then maybe we have something to be concerned about. Remember this coaching staff is
12-1this year!;)

What games were you watching? Beat them to a pulp? Hardly. We won handily, but if there are a few different plays in those games we could have possibly lost.

I have to agree with you.

This team is so talented that we are able to overcome a lot of problems.

Dallas needs to ditch this game plan.

It will not work in the Playoffs.

I can understand the complaint on defense, but the Cowboys had 28 points on offense and might have had 38 if not for a missed field goal and a fumble at the goal line. If that's a plain vanilla offense, you might as well use it, because it works.

I'm not sure what game you were watching, the defense blitzed and stunted quite a bit. Detroit used a lot of max protect and the defense couldn't penetrate. It also didn't help that the tackling was horrible as well.

As far as the offense goes, we had virtually no problem moving the ball so I have a hard time faulting the gameplan. The main problem was the defense couldn't get Detroit off the field.

TO was not moved around at all and so it was easy to double and triple team him and take him out of the game. For what ever reason, they felt it was not necessary to attack this team in the same manner they have been for the past 5-6 games that led to TO being the NFC Offensive Player of the Month. Today looked more like a Parcells gameplan. Just line TO up outside every play and let them take him away with double and triple teams. That was my point.

But what exactly does that hurt? If teams double and triple team TO, other people will be open, like Witten and Barber today. Witten had nearly 150 yards receiving! I just don't see how you can be upset about an offensive gameplan which could have scored 40 points. Most teams cannot move the ball up and down the field with ease like the Cowboys did today.

Dallas coaches gotta be figuring.......if a team wants to rolls 2,3 and even 4 players at TO.....

why even put him in motion into the middle---thus bringing those players into position in the middle of the field to break off and get back into the play to Witten, MBIII

I'm disappointed in Crayton......should he not be, from the slot position, he should be abusing one-on-one coverage...

that is where a mini-mite ala Pats Welcher would be a WOw Player.....

any pure "slot" WR's coming out of college.........imo that what BP envisioned in Sklar Green at some point......

They didn't almost lose due to offense. I think the Cowboys punted what, 2 or 3 times all day? That's just about unheard of in this league outside of the Patriots.
