You wouldn’t know IF unless you made the trade. A 23 year old back who’s one of the top players in the game isn’t going to sign on as a one-year rental with anyone. As for Christian McCafferty, Carolina went 5-11 in 2019 when he rushed for over 1300 yards. Unless you’re getting great QB play, it doesn’t matter how many yards a back rushes for in today’s game. Teams are moving on from high priced RBs. The teams with the three top rushers last season missed the playoffs. I can ensure an RB isn’t going to put the Cowboys over the top. We moved on from an RB last season who put up 12 TDs. Only a couple of RBs put up more last season. Only a casual armchair fan would throw away a second round pick for a one year rental at RB. The only thing that’s going to put the Cowboys over the top is dramatically improving their run defense and redzone offense. Zeke was really good in the redzone and so was Dalton Schultz. They combined for 17 TDs last season, most coming in the redzone. We’re missing both players.
