On the Ben and Skin Show, they said that Jerry has moved today's practice to the Stadium and the general public can watch them practice IF they pay the $27 for the stadium tour!
:laugh2:

This has been going on all year, unfortunately.

I think every Friday has been at the Stajum and open to the paying public.

And people wonder why other teams say our schemes are easy to read.

Well when you can send a scout to our practice for $27, what do you think?

You got to be kiddin me. Who the hell would pay $27 to see a 1-6 team practice in a building they haven't even won in this year

If no one did, he wouldn't charge it...

We are finding some bizarre things to complain about.

Any truth to the rumor that you can trade-in gameday tickets for practice tickets straight-up?

Jerry is an idiot.

He is Al davis 2.0
Stephen needs to have an intervention lol

I have more of a problem with the morons that actually pay it than Jerry charging because he wouldn't be charging if people weren't paying. Haha maybe didn't word that the best way but you guys get my point. Whether the team is good or not, it doesn't change the fact that to Jerry making money is just as important or maybe even more so than winning. I won't bash him for that unless he's being cheap to make money, which to give him some credit, that's never been a problem.

The same idiots who would then pay $10 a beer after they paid the admission fee of $27.

Just because Jerry asks doesn't mean fans have to pay. A fool and his money ...

Practice was moved because of weather, which meant that anyone taking a stadium tour was going to see the practice. This wasn't one of those Rally practices that they normally promote in advance.

Because of the rain and soggy field conditions at Valley Ranch, the Cowboys will have their Wednesday practice at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

lets see, it rained all day yesterday and rained some more today.

we have an enclosed stadium, lets practice there.

people want to see our stadium, so we have been having tours.

if you go on the tour , today, you get to see the team practice.

not really a big deal and not at all what ben and stupid are trying to make it.

I made this argument on another board.
the focus of the organization is not on winning. hear me out. yes, we like to win. who doesn't. because its good for the team and the fans, but we don’t do things that lead to winning.

our soul focus of hte organization is not on winning. it is about the fans. Jerry and the organization do everything for the fans. from the training camp kick off party, to hauling the players to SA, then to Dallas, then to CA to get the team closer to the fans and get to our fans. its all about the business, marketing and expanding popularity. its business decisions. and now this. another distraction.

its about appeasing the fans. football, is about focus on one thing and one thing only. WINNING. right now the cowboys are focused on ticket sales, popularity, closeness to fans, TV viewership, merchendise sales, etc.

, do everything, forget everything else and focus on winning and winning only. no other team had as much fan fare opening their training camp. no one openly talked about going to the superbowl. that’s a BIG no no. but us fans loved it. it created excitement. it brought fans to the practices. it sold tickets.

is it a surprise we were bad in pre-season? and now we see the results during the season. this team has quit, quit on themselves, quit on the coach and they are walking through, hoping it ends soon. its obvious in their demeanor.

when you make winning the ONLY measure, then you do everything in the organization, evaluate everyting toward that one singular goal. you ask, does what I do contribute or add value to what we are trying to accomplish? if not, then don't do it. you ask do we need a training camp opening ceremony?do we need to appease the fans and go to two different places for trainign camp? do I need to bring people to meet and greet the players? what else do we do to become a winning organization. let me give you examples, like steelers, patriots, giants, evey miami, Indy, GB, etc.

our focus wasn't on winning. we kept making excuses for what was wrong. the players bought into it. the problem is that Jerry is a great entrepenuer. a dreamer. who can switch on and off, make business decisions, change people's mind and make their dreams his dreams. Football doesn't work like that. at this level its about focus on football and football only. distractions equal losing.

but jerry's other dream is to be known as a great GM, a football guy. he wants it so badly. and yet as president and owner he hasn't gotten the GM enough training and mentorship. he thought he learned from BP. but he hasn't. and now he appologizes to the fans. WHY? because to him its about the fans.

when parcells was here, he saw the lax environment, the party have fun atmosphere and he changed it. he made everyone walk on eggshells. he made them uncomfortable. when they won, he told them it wasn’t good enough. he wanted them to be better. in order to win it all, you have to be perfect.
players like Julius Jones and spears balked. they wanted to be unleasehed. they felt held back. now after 4 years, we saw that JJ sucked. spears is what we thought he was.

spears made as much a statement when he said parcells made you feel like shiet when you won. now we make excuses for why we lose. totally different mentality. don't settle vs. lowering the bar and that's futile because once you lower the bar, you continue to lower and you end up where we are.

in order to get back to what we want, we have to focus on winning, the football team and football players. not the fans. winning will bring the fans back. then you make decisions like no opening night ceremony for TC. single TC location, no handshaking and player introduction to important sponsors, on and on and on. no keeping players based on popularity. truer evaluations. truer self evalutions.

we have had to strong coach/gm types and saw success under both. we have had a bunch of other names with Jerry as the GM pulling all strings and both times we have gone down the same path.

so how do move forward? wade is a lame duck. I know it. you know it. wade knows it. jerry knows it. so why prolong it. do the inevitable. move garrett or decamillis into the interim head coaching position. issue a warning that everyones job is on the line. lets change course a bit, even if its temporary.

then hire the right coach, a right hand man and lets get back to winning football games. not winning fans over.

Jimmy is probably taking an extra dosage of blood pressure medicine after hearing they didn't want to practice in the rain. I hope they don't have to actually play in the rain.
