The Commanders nearly beat the Eagles

Yeah they almost lost to Was, but they didn't. KC almost lost to Zach Wilson, but they didn't. We had plenty of chances to come back in AZ, and we didn't.

It's a long season, but when we get the 5 seed again, this is why.

Jets nearly beat the Super Bowl champs KC Chiefs with backup QB Zac Wilson.

But they managed a win .. instead of a loss. That's key.

I talked to a member here I really respect about the Eagles and I stated how close Philly is to being 1-3. The Patriots were driving at the end of the game and looked to have a first and goal inside the 10 yet the receivers toe was barely out of bounds. Philly beat the Vikings by 6 but Justin Jefferson caught a long pass and while diving for the endzone the ball slips out his hand into the endzone giving Philly the ball at the 25. Now, yesterday, the Commanders are driving in OT and 3rd and long Howell throws a complete dime and the receiver gets one foot down while the safety falls down and when the receiver goes to put his other foot down it lands on the fallen safeties forearm and rolls out of bounds by about a tenth of a centimeter. Soooo close to being 1-3 and he responds...
"Good teams always make their luck", and he is right.
Philly has a top run D but every team is absolutely shredding them in the pass game and Philly has yet to face the Allens, Daks, Tuas, Mahomes etc. But on the flip side Jalen Hurts is now 21-1 over his last 22 regular season games. The Eagles just know how to pull out every single close game.

1. Going 17-0 at this point would be the most amazing feat of all time.

2. I think maybe other people aren't constantly thinking about us, wondering what we're up to and what we're thinking, as much as we like to think they are.

It's a bit narcissistic
1)It was hypothetical.
2)People aren’t constantly thinking about us. But we are the most loved, hated, analyzed, and hyped team by a mile, with the largest fanbase. The NFL manufactures drama and rides us like Seattle Slew for rating$.

I kinda like the uniforms the ones they wore in Philly . And it ain’t a bad team name . I think they will give Dallas fits . Del Rio seems to scheme Dallas and Biennemy as OC light yrs over the garbage they threw out last year.

Commanders beat the Cowboys handily last year in a meaningful game to end the season. I wouldn't make too much of the Eagles working to beat them. The Eagles showed some grit by overcoming a feisty and good Commanders team yesterday.

Washington is a good football team.

They are stout all over the field. I expect them to make a Giants run like last year and get a 7 seed

Here's what we know from that game:
1. Washington should be taken seriously. They're a capable team.
2. Philly ain't invincible!
3. Washington has provided the blueprint for beating the Eagles. It involves grinding it out on the ground and playing good defense.
I rooted for the Commanders, then took a long cleansing shower.

Sam looked good.
He. Was poised and decisive. Philly was all up in his grill all game but he didn’t let it rattle and force him into mistakes.

That was the key. He didn’t get rattled. The eagles are goin to pressure us. Dak can’t become a mental midget and lose his composure behind the line. Howell was looking 8-8 Romo behind that line. The Eagles was bringing pressure the entire day but he stepped up and did what he had to do

Not slinging this at you, but I find it interesting that when a team almost beats the Eagles, they are good. However, when the Cowboys loses to a "bad team" or lets a bad team hang around, Cowboys are bad. Dallas beats a good team, that team is bad. Good team beats Dallas, Dallas is bad. I guess the Cowboys just can't win.

And no ball slinging into double and triple coverage by you know who.

Almost everyone has who has played Philly. Mac Jones put up 330 yards on that defense. Philly secondary is weak
Naw you're right because I really thought Mac Jones was looking good. And if I'm not mistaken I think he did that in the rain didn't he? Philly secondary made me look like a fool defending Mac Jones lol.

Washington largely contained the Eagles run game. Quinn can’t be having our edge guys running up field like shot out of a cannon that game. Stay disciplined along the DL.

When are people going to realize that the Eagles are nowhere as good as last year. That team are frauds and very lucky they are 4-0. They could have easily lost 2 or 3 of those games.
They “could have” lost all four of them. They could lose this week, too. I won’t bet money on it, of course, but it could happen. Hopefully one of these weeks it will.

I have more non Dallas games than I have in years. Buffalo is legit. SF is every bit as good as people say. Miami's offense is frequently electric.

Philly . . . has been rather meh. They are entering one of the most brutal schedules I have ever seen. I don't think it is going to go well. Jalen Hurts is cold this year and looks more like his earlier career throwing than last year. Their defense has been shaky at times.
